Hawk fans gonna turn on Stanley

I’d put people like Tua and Trevor Lawrence in the elite category. Do you think it’s fair to put Purdy in this category right now?
Purdy's total QBR was top 10 last year in the entire nation and among freshman was only behind Trevor Lawrence. I'm not saying he's better than those guys or even close, but his numbers say otherwise. We'll have to see what him playing a full season does.

Purdy in the same category as Tua and Lawrence.....its official now.

I'd way rather have to gameplan vs Brock Purdy than I would Adrian Martinez. Throw out any numbers you want. He's not "Elite" yet either but I think has a higher ceiling than Purdy.

Show me in one post where I said elite, just one. We know you have a fetish for Martinez. We know you don't know ****. So what's your ******* point. What about what I said was wrong?

Good god this is going to be a long two weeks.

I don't think anyone said that. I said his numbers were just below theirs in regards to efficiency and that's crazy to think about. Those two guys are the best QB's in CFB.

So me saying his efficiency and passer rating numbers are close to theirs and then me literally saying he's not better than them is the same thing as saying he's as good as them?

If you don't even know how many games he's played in you probably should sit this one out
Not sure anybody else was but I'm guessing YOU had the "elite" tag on him by then. Considering his last 2 games were Drake and the bowl game. We know he didn't earn that tag in those 2 games.

His passing efficiency rating was 149.9 in the bowl game and he had two rushing TDs. Stanley has a 135 career passing efficiency rating

And why do you guess I had the elite tag on him? Can you go find the number of posts I used the word elite before your troll brethren jumped into this one? Or are you such a pathetic, stupid troll that you can't take a conversation straight up and you have to twist my position to fit your narrative?

While we are at it, lets get this thread back on track. What this thread was about was the hoks QB. Last I checked, how good the hoks QB is has nothing to do with how good ISU, kNU or any other teams QB is. If I were you, I would want to change the subject away from him as well. But the fact is, you have a 4th year middling QB in a system where the trend for QB performance is down from year to year. It is also well known that for a program/team to rise above the 'quaint' level of success that ToE has had, you need a QB that is good. Better than Stanley. That has to stick in your craw and I suspect that is why you are over hear spreading your frustration.

So try to nit pick our QB if you like. You can debate or whatever it is you do with yourself on whether he is elite or very good or whatever. You can pick out another QB you like better on some other team. Purdy had a great year as a freshmen, has obviously earned the respect of his team and highly thought of by most national pundits.

Purdy's adjusted QBR was 75.9 in the bowl and 29.3 vs Drake. Stanley's was 78.1 in bowl and 86.8 vs Nebraska. Not saying Stanley IS better but he did finish the year with better performances. You choose to cherry pick the passing efficiency rating which doesn't paint as good of a picture of a QBs overall performance.
