Hawk fans gonna turn on Stanley

So Purdy had a better QBR against Texas when his stats were worse than they were against Drake?

I'm only talking about QBR.
Yeah I know I honestly don't understand it either.. I would love for those two games to be broken down and explained how Purdy had a worse QBR in the Drake game compared to the Texas game.

There's a ton of dipshits in here saying it wasn't loaded. It doesn't diminish prohms accomplishments, it's just realistic. Most jobs don't have turnover where someone inherits 6-8 future pros

Okay your act is getting old. There were no underclassman really to speak of and Hoiberg left too late for Prohm to do anything but try to salvage his first class. Sure, it was nice to have some pretty talented Jr. and Sr., but there was always going to be a regression even if Hoiberg stayed due to a lack of experienced talent. Those NBA players are also all marginal NBA players so far. Prohm filled the talent void well with very talented players last year that didn't mesh together consistently. And now the roster is fairly balanced. No the cupboard wasn't immediately bare, but it was about to be.

Cherry-picking stats is fun. Do the two wins against Iowa State and the wins over Boston College and Mississippi State not count? Asking for a friend.

I'm not here to argue Stanley is great, or even really good. He's not been either of those so far, just not accurate enough. But I could make a reasonable argument he's been "good." If the pass from McSorley in 2017 is 2 inches lower it gets tipped by Hooker and Iowa beats a 12-2 Penn State team on in a game where Iowa went 76 and 80 yards the last 2 times it had the ball (Stanley was the QB).

Stanley could very well struggle at ISU this year, don't know. Cyclones have a good defense.
I chose their B1G wins because that’s where the majority of the games are generated and show how fu***** pathetic their schedule has been

Okay then. In the 2 years Stanley has been a starting QB:

2017 - 5th toughest schedule in the country according to Sagarin.
2018 - 44th toughest schedule according to Sagarin.

2018 definitely not tough. 2017 definitely was tough. 2019 is predicted to be tough. Won't know until the games are played who is good or bad.

The whole 2017 SOS argument is so full of holes...

So you're using SOS to justify his low passing efficiency, fumbling issues, etc?

While I agree that Stanley has played some tough teams.. He's only beaten 1 tough Big 10 team. He hasn't beaten Penn State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, or Northwestern: 0-7. He also played pretty poorly in those games too. He has that Ohio State game under his belt which is his lone great victory.

He had 3 attempts against Purdue in ‘16 otherwise they could be added to the list too.

Well he technically didn't start that game.. That would've been Beathard. So he's 0-2 in his career against them too.

For every tough team Stanley has had to play there is a Minnesota,Illinois, Nebraska, etc to help offset. It's actually pretty crazy how few middle of the pack to above average teams Stanley has faced in conference.

Oh I completely agree, which is why I think some Iowa fans think he's amazing, while some Iowa fans think he's just okay. Throwing for 41 yards against Wisconsin should completely outweigh throwing for 400 against Indiana. And I'm not sitting here saying he sucks, because he doesn't. He just hasn't shown he can be consistent throughout an entire year.
