Okay. Here is the deal that you insecure, tiny-hand Iowa fans do not realize about this thread.
The thread is actually making fun of you -- not Stanley.
You all get on here defending Stanley like he is the second coming of Tom Brady.
But the point of the thread is that if Iowa loses to ISU because he throws two or three interceptions, or Iowa loses it's bid to play for in the Big 10 playoff game because he threw five or six passes in the ground to wide open receivers, you all will be the first in line for Sound Off calling for Ferentz to kick his fat ass off the team.
That is a fact. We play along and make fun of Stanley because it is fun. We are dead serious, though, about you being the most insecure, hypocritical fan base in America
I can guarantee you this does not apply to me. So no, that's not a fact. You cyclone fans always confuse fact and opinion.
However, this type of behavior does not apply to just Iowa fans. I attend 1 game a year at Jack Trice (2 if Iowa plays there). Never been to one where there wasn't at least one fan calling for the backups. That is a fact.
So if Stanley sucks you have no interest in seeing what your backup QB could do? I honestly thought you had a promising QB recruit somewhere on the roster

I don't ever remember ISU fans having such a reputation for booing our QBs on the field that one of the hometown papers wrote an article about it.
You're right. My intention was just to make the point that the attacks on Stanley wouldn't age well and I agree that I didn't go about it the way I should have. I meant nothing malicious towards the young man.
If you are 3-1 or even (gasp) 2-2 by the time TCU is in town on 10/5 and things are not going well against an "ok" TCU team. Do you not think some boo birds will be out?
Over/under when the "Fire Ferentz" chants start if Hawks start slow? Brother-in-law always says it after they lost to Northwestern last year and he is a big hawk fan.
