Stanley doesn't have good enough footwork to be a lineman. Is there talk that Kirk is going to move him?
I guess I don't understand why you're making fun of a top recruit. We make fun of Stanley because he's not even a top 50 QB in the country
One of them is 17 and the other has been in coach Kilmer's S&C program for what, 4 years?
My point exactly. Just think where Dekkers could be in 4 years. 290 - 300 easy. With his footwork he could have some amazing potential at tackle.
When you have one of the worst lines in the country, you try and get creative. I could see this paying off for them.

As the season progressed it was actually pretty serviceable. Serious question, when was the last time Iowa had a good offensive line? It's been at least 4 or 5 years.
12th in the country last year in sacks allowed. First in the country in sacks allowed with a fat quarterback.
Nationally recognized as THE most outstanding offensive line unit in the country in 2016.
Pass blocking has been quite good actually. Run blocking has been suspect the last several years.
In 2016 we had two 1000 yard rushers and both RB's averaged at least 5.0 yards per carry.
Finished middle of the pack in FBS in sacks allowed that year. That line wasnt great but I would consider it good.
For the most part that year, it was Croston, Welsh, Daniels, Myers and Boettger starting.
That was gifted Kirk accepted an offensive line of the year award from his buddy. The same o-line that almost killed Beathard... LOL that lines wasn't even one of the top lines in their own conference yet alone the country.
Seriously though, When is the last time Iowa has had a typical Hawkeye o-line? It's been quite sometime and that's not even debatable.
I don't think they were one of the worst. I'd rank them 51st in the country last year
