I'm pretty sure his Dad lives in Ames, and obviously his brother is here. I can see an 18 year old kid wanting to be close enough to his family (Carroll and Ames) while still getting a little bit of separation and chance to do his own thing.

Went to the Liberty Bowl. They were brushing mustard on corn dogs with a paint brush. I asked for no mustard, they gave me the WTF look. I hate yellow mustard. Ketchup or bust on a corn dog.
