Iowa Football Recruiting

If I am not mistaken, they only beat 1 ranked team last year in Texas. They were good but not a top 10 team.
Well they would've won their bowl game if Grier would've played in the game, so that would've been a ranked team. They also were played lights out at the end of the year against OU and came up short. Also Texas ended up beating Georgia who was the 2nd best team in the SEC last year in their bowl game so I'd say a win against Texas was a good win.

I think @Thinker is the only one that thinks he's good which is weird since they're supposed to be "rivals"
I do not think he is a good coach, I think he is set up to have a good year and has good players coming back. I think he could be decent this year and based on his past I feel like he can win some games.

I wouldn't go that far. A better win? Hell, even that's debatable. They finished 8-5 (with a tougher schedule even though we played 1 more top 25 foe). MSU feel apart the last half of that game.
Yeah I guess it could be debatable. Just trying to throw em a bone. They can't fathom that ISU is actually good. Tears em apart.

There are a lot of hypothetical views in this argument.

Actually the only hypothetical part of that post was that WVU would've won if they had one of the best QB's in the nation actually play in the game. If you don't think that would've changed things then that's fine.

Maybe in that post, but there are so many what if arguments about ISU being better than so and so and this and that. It is hypocritical to get after someone else for doing the same things.

Who cant? I said ISU is good, but I do not think they are above all of these big 10 teams that you guys are saying.

I want to agree with that, but I feel like he will have a decent team this year.

It's a little surprising how he seems to get buy-in from his players considering how disingenuous all of his little schticks seem to be.

The cop out is blaming the conditions on a loss.

So is saying conference teams beat one another up during the year, the grass was the wrong condition for cleats, gave the other team the game, just weren't up for it, 'chuck ball' on something like 22/33 passing, etc.
