It’s really not, because its directly affecting my friends that work there and my ex gf who use to work there, but what do they know, right?
At what point if you are the contractor do you just walk in and start taking stuff back out. Like if I owned the plumbing company I would walk in and start taking the pipes I put in the place back out. You don't want to pay for them? Fine. Ill take them back out and you can figure it out.
Yes. About 5 minutes into them doing it, the University might be inspired to pay some money. Also, Those children can be transported to other hospitals. I don't care what it is, they can't expect a company to do all the work and not pay. Don't hide behind children as the reasoning.
About 5 minutes into doing it, the publicity from removing pipes at a children's hospital would be so bad, they might never get another job again.
Seems like a solid plan that you've really thought through.
The pipes are likely enclosed behind another contractor's work (drywall, paint, ceilings, etc). Plus, what are you going to do with the pipes that have been cut, connected, etc. for a specific job? It's unlikely you will use them somewhere else without having the added expense of modifying them somehow. And it's very little about the pipes they installed and more about the labor they paid to install them. The best bet would likely be to sue, have a judge (or two) rule in your favor, and collect interest on the amount owed while you wait.
Refusing to give all the paperwork about where everything actually ended up being installed is probably good leverage. The University not caving about the paperwork probably means that they do have the original set and are just calling Modern Piping's bluff.
Yeah didn't think the whole thing through. However, if someone did that to a company I owed. I would get mid evil on them.
