Hoiberg to Huskers

I don't want to paint with too large a brush but ya'll are dumb.

Has nobody on here ever heard a coach give an introductory presser before?
Seemed like an awkward press conference to me...maybe it was that Bill Moos is not a very articulate athletic director.

Watch him become a hall of fame coach there over the next 20 years taking them to unimaginable heights

Fred said that the Husker fanbase was "second to none"?

If that's what he said, then f*** Fred.... that is all. He can coach wherever he wants, I don't care, but he doesn't have to rub it in our face and outright lie.
??? Husker basketball support is just as impressive as ours. They packed their arena for a mediocre team this year.

Lmao, you guys need to chill, every coach says the same things at their press conference.

What do you expect him to say, "Fans at Nebraska are ranked about the 50th best in basketball?"

I guess maybe next time we hire a coach he can be like "well I liked it better where I came from, but this place is ok too I guess, the fans aren't great though" and see if people are lining up to applaud his honesty.

It's like some of you don't understand athletics or coach speak at all. It's love the one you are with. Part of his job is to raise money and recruit. You think anyone is going to pay him to come in and publicly say his old college team was better? That this job isn't what he really wants?

Do you tell your spouse that your ex had a better rack, or that ex is smarter? Or complain to the inlaws that your old boyfriends parents had a hot tub and that their house is ******* in comparison? Do you whine at the summer BBQ that they are feeding you bar s hot dogs instead of high quality all beef weiners?

Quit taking this **** personally. He would be saying the exact same **** if he went to UCLA. It's his job to be well liked and excite the fan base. He wouldn't be any good at it if he didn't say the right things.

I'm going to give the insight from someone who didn't grow up a Cyclone, and didn't give two ***** about Fred until he was a Timberwolve, and then when I decided to become a Cyclone 20 years ago. (Crap I can't believe its been that long...)

Everything I know about him as a human is he's as good of a guy as there is. What upsets me as an Iowa State alum is that he basically used the job as a stepping stone, which is OK, but the way he left it stunted something that could've been truly great. The Warriors job when Kerr got it, the freaking Gopher job, and the well known rumors he was leaving KILLED the recruiting the last couple years. Its amazing Prohm was able to do what he's done with the hole we were in after the last guys graduated. I truly believe had he stayed, Coffee, Vaughn, Diallo, and a few others would've been Cyclones.

With that said, Steve Prohm is an incredible guy, loves it here, wants to stay here, and he can ******* coach. He's not perfect, but neither was Fred.

I wish Fred health and happiness in life. I also wish his NU teams lose every game that's not against the Hawks.

It's like you guys have never listened to a hiring press conference before. Every coach says that, most of them talk about playing uptempo and focusing on defense, and they move on with life.
