Don't get me started on the parking there...Wife has surgery there in two weeks and I am planning to have a friend in town take my car so I don't have to sell a kidney to pay for overnight parking.
If you are a patient, they give you a slip to negate some of those costs. I know its still costly, just an FYI.

Yeah I know but when it is $3-5 for a couple of hours even with the discounted rate I don't think I want to know what 24-36 hours will cost me.

Edit: Just looked it up and it is $10/day fee. Not obscene but something about having to park at a hospital rubs me the wrong way.

Too many people would probably take advantage of it. Atleast theirs has people staffing it.

? I don’t think you have a very good grasp of what’s going on or have a strong understanding of the legal system. That’s to be expected tho, most lay people don’t. Modern Piping isn’t hurting for $$ either, especially with their recent acquisitions. This will play out for some time I’m sure. Putting all bias aside, it’s pretty clear there was some grabd standing early on and most people are only hearing one side of the story. A lot of things aren’t adding up here and there’s pretty good chance the original decision will be set aside.
1-That is cool he doesn't understand the situation, or the economics. I think we can all agree you don't understand ethics or morality.

2- The fact pattern as it relates to the matter is indicative of the overwhelming sense of entitlement and smugness that is the University of Iowa.

3-I am glad to dance with you on this matter, as I do understand the legal matters and economics. Start the music if you would like.

So Modern Piping is the contractor that they were trying to screw. They were awarded the money ($21 million) but of course they are appealing. And they dont have to pay right away since it is in appeal.

I guess I haven't heard Iowa's side of things...what reason do they have to NOT pay the contractors that crazy amount of money?

Or they could have said "hey, that's a pos painting. We don't need to expand to house that pos painting."
