Quite true. They heard the complaints and are going to use this as their primary angle. The tv angles were weird and bad but no way they have that issue for the final four.

This thread has taught me that capitalcityguy and jereseib care very deeply for Des Moines, so much so that they might need to seek help.
To arms! To Arms! The State of Iowa needs to rise up and throw off the yoke of Des Moines tyranny. "To hell with Polk County" says I.
Funny stuff! Im arguing with a 70 year old retiree. So in closing......
-I like the Hy-Vee classic
-I like Des Moines
-Im hoping to see Iowa State get beat 5 minutes from my home
-Im excited about getting to see the Hawkeyes play tomorrow
Im officially out, Ill be at the game tomorrow while you guys can continue arguing on here with everybody that likes the event. Have a good weekend.
I've apparently got you by five years now. I'm working on that oldest CF'er badge. So, saw a @ with my name and now see this thread switched tracks and went straight to Crazydale? Nice, likey that.
Even you weren't born in the 1800's milady.I've apparently got you by five years now. I'm working on that oldest CF'er badge.![]()
Dude is a turd. "You are out of your element if you think you are going to try to insult my intelligence." Just when I think that I have read the douchiest thing ever on here, there comes another one.
Big 4 Classic didn't work because it's lame. It's Des Moines guys, come on. It's a nice place to be from, but you wouldn't want to live there.
Kind of related, I was back for Thanksgiving and the D-town news personalities are the B-team. Talk about space dogs!
In a word, yes. The Well is primarily built for hockey and indoor football. What is it good for...? Hockey?
That would take yet another interesting game out of the season ticket package. I want more home games, not less. I want to reap the benefits of my Cyclone Club donation such as great seats, reserved parking, Johnny's and Stage Door.Make it an actual tournament.
Iowa v UNI - since they’re the same fans
ISU v Drake
Both single session games on a Saturday.
Winners and Losers games on Sunday.
Half of the court was blocked from view by the handicapped seating platform at the first ISU game I attendeda at WFA. I asked to be moved and got crappy seats in the back corner of the end. At least I could see, but I paid for better seats than that.Wow. People are way to ******* picky with basketball arenas. Yes, if you sit behind the basket, you will not have a good view. Yes, the seats are a little farther away, but it's not that bad. I've sat behind the basket at Hilton and the view was terrible. I also feel like I'm going to tumble down the stairs like a slinky in the upper deck of Hilton when I go for a Clone Cone. I love Hilton, but WFA isn't as bad as people on here are making it out to be.
I did also after I got further in to the thread.Dude, I've said this many times in this thread.![]()
Yeah that is probably why they have got the NCAA basketball tournament two times nowIn a word, yes. The Well is primarily built for hockey and indoor football.
They also play in football domes.Yeah that is probably why they have got the NCAA basketball tournament two times now

This is correct. The things they really look for include capacity, amenities for teams and NCAA staff and the ability of the hosting entity to put on a quality event. They are also looking at whether the host metro has the infrastructure (hotels, restaurants, night life) to support the event. Whether the fans have the best view of the game is probably tertiary at best. As long as television viewers can see the game they really don't care. They also play in football domes.
