Iowa State lands two players in 247's Midseason True Freshman AA team. Both Purdy and Rose make it

QB - Brock Purdy, Iowa State (841)
Barton Simmons' Take: "I remember first seeing Brock in a national 7on7 event with loaded all-star rosters from all over the country. Brock’s team won the entire tournament with one of the least star-studded groups, primarily because Brock had such a great feel for the game. But he wasn’t just a 7on7 all-star. He had over 4,000 yards passing as a senior and over 1,000 yards rushing and he became a late priority for the likes of Alabama after waiting to commit until very late in the process. He’s got some special traits that have showed up right away in Ames."

What does it mean when it states a TE passing rating? Did he seriously fire off a couple throws or would that be a QB rating when he's targeted? Seriously not sure.
QB's passing rating when targeting him would be my guess. The A&M kid is the best TE in the country though regardless what PFF says
That's not adjusted completion percentage but ok. I'd prefer just regular completion percentage on deep balls but don't have that info

There's two QBs in the country with better numbers than Purdy. If you think I need some adjusted stat to prove he's been lights out so far then lol
