Walking Dead

The whole zombie craze has definitely run its course. I would probably get back into TWD if they started to wrap the show up. I stopped watching a while back, shortly after Neegan came into the picture. Too many commercials, too many empty episodes.

Should I start watching again?

Meh.. I'll probably give up after this season. Curious how the send Rick off.

It's been tough to watch b/c the show has gone down hill so much.

I've watched every episode of TWD, and my wife and I are throwing in the towel and stopping for this season. The show should be about Rick and what lengths he's going through to save and grow Carl. That's all out the window during this season and last season. I like Daryl, however as a side and not main character. Regardless, the show devolved into trying to shock people over the last year or two and repeated the same trope/plots.

I'll keep watching until they decide to cash out. Loved the show in it's prime. Have been begrudgingly watching it for a couple years, as although the writing has suffered, I actually like the Negan character

I have some hope for TWD with a new show runner (Angela Kang, I believe). I ******* HATED Scott M. Gimple.

Last season of FTWD was probably their best. Once Morgan showed up, things started going downhill. This show needed more Madison, Daniel, and Nick. Now Nick and Madison are dead and Daniel is MIA. I could do with less Victor, Luciana has become one dimensional, and Alicia is not the same without her family interaction.

Out of the new characters, Al is probably the best with some potential for some good background story reveals. John and June are okay, but are not adding much more lately other than a love story after a promising start. The wheelchair guy and the other lady are forgettable. The girl who killed Nick still has zero character development and Jimbo's Beerbos guy was thankfully put out of his misery.

God, I miss the Morgan from his short appearances in the old seasons. He used to be a kickass character. As soon as he became a series regular, he is now that annoying moral conflict, story dragging character. And I also agree with the assesment on the dirty homeless lady. Quite possibly the most anticlimactic, unrealistic main villain. They should have just made the group that camped outside the stadium the main rivals for the end of this season.

Thread bump here, but is anyone else still watching "Fear the "Walking Dead"?

I have the last three episodes saved on DVR, but I think I might have to throw in the towel and give up on it. I have those episodes saved because I just don't have the interest anymore in still watching the show, which is really too bad because I started from the beginning and was a big fan and sometimes defender of it.

Madison Clark could be a frustrating character at times, but I really think killing her off earlier this season was a bad, bad move. Alicia is a good character in her own right, but having her as the only surviving character from the main family from the first season has really turned it into a different show, and one not nearly as good, despite the crossover of Morgan and some other good new characters. The introduction of some old, dirty, tattooed woman as a formidable villain has really taken it off the rails, and I just can't do it anymore.

I havent picked it back up since before the midseason finale.

I loved ftwd last season, but ******* scott gimple moved over to this show, they shoehorned in Morgan's ****** character with a time-jump, and then killed off most of the original characters. Its everything i hate about where the original series had headed now.

God, I HATE Scott Gimple. Not just for his decisions, but even when he is on Talking Dead he just seems like such a little beyotch.

He seems to think all his work is just so profound the audience doesn't get it.
He's such a ******* dweeb. Another thing that drove me crazy about him was how stupid he was whenever he refused to give any upcoming plot points. I mean, other people do it too bu he had a really annoying way about it.

The sad thing is before he became showrunner he had been the writer for a few of the best TWD episodes. He should go back to that, and leave the bigger picture to someone else.

I like the addition of Al. You know there would be someone that would want to document what was happening.
I was really hoping the gator was going to grab the girl and we would be rid of her.

I think there's also more interesting aspects to Al's backstory. Like how she ended up with that SWAT van and if she really was a reporter before the zombie apocalypse. I get a feeling that her backstory will be darker than many would expect.

We know she has already met some folks from Alexandria...

Agreed. I hated most of the characters in FTWD. I gave it a full season, then quit.

I quit when they were on the boat, the family was together and safe and can wait it out, but somehow they think its a good idea to pick up some people the see on the way.
