Biggest disadvantage in the CyHawk Series since 1980

Yep. I'm not sure how you can criticize Pollard for trying to get a 12th game with limited options. Getting a 12th game is HUGE and it doesn't matter who the opponent is

I'm all for him trying his best to find a suitable opponent, but he stooped way to low to try and schedule a team like Drake and then he tweeted about it like he was a victim of the NCAA.

Southern is cool, Drake isn't. Got it. Also he never tweeted anything

Yes it does, trying to schedule a non-scholly program is pathetic.

I understand there are limited options but come on.

Drake has 2 kids on their roster over 300 lbs, ISU has 15.

With the new freshman rule the opponent does not matter to me at all. You're buying a win and getting players game reps. Like I said, you have no clue how Drake would compare to the bottom feeder FCS programs

Drake ranked #219 in Sagarin last season. They didnt receive any votes in the AP Poll.

Frankly, I think it is cool that Drake option was at least explored. Keeps money in state and there a lot of guys playing for Drake that would love to have that opportunity. It isn't like ISU would even have to play there starters for that game. Could even have a running clock. I also wonder if the NCAA denying the waiver was because it was premature. Once you get to the end of the season and you if you have 5 wins then submit the waiver. It looks like other teams will be in the same position. And NCAA would be stupid not to consider the SDSU game a win for ISU. There was no way that game was going to be close in the slightest.

The NCAA would never allow a Div. 1 P5 program to schedule such a game. Playing a team like Drake would be very dangerous for the players.

Nebraska and ISU makes perfect sense, but neither school wants to play a game they could lose. They both want easy games to try and be bowl eligible.

You've really come full circle in this thread. It's actually impressing how mad you're trying to get lol

Hey, whatever CMC and JP need to be bowl eligible.

What would you want Barta to do if the UNI game was cancelled this weekend? Would you want him to just roll with 11 games? You have made it clear what you think is wrong in this situation but I'm curious how you think it should be handled

I dont think Iowa is in danger of finishing 5-6 if Saturday's game is cancelled and since Iowa's bye week is on Sept. 29 I dont think it would be reasonable to find an opponent willing to travel to IC on that short of notice.
