Biggest disadvantage in the CyHawk Series since 1980

I'm a huge Cyclone fan, but JP says and does some of the dumbest stuff ever.... and I still think he's done an awesome job here and don't want to ever see him go.

First of all, don't even call Drake for a football game EVER! But if you're dumb enough to do that, for ****'s sake don't ever tell anyone you did. Just stupid.

And then, do NOT ever petition to get to go to a bowl game with 5 wins.... EVER! That's pathetic. Win at least 6 or don't go. I don't care if our 1st game got cancelled. Yes, that made it a lot more difficult for us to get to 6 now, and that sucks, but man up and win 6 still.... or just don't go. It's embarrassing to be in a bowl with a losing record.

JP makes himself, and ISU, look so foolish sometimes. Just makes me cringe. And don't even bring up that bugle logo he paid someone to come up with.

The whole denial on that smells like a conspiracy.

If the amount of games cancelled starts to mount up because of the hurricane, there possibly could be a lot of teams short of 6 wins. I'm pretty sure they let 5 win teams play in bowls a few years ago. As long as they met certain academic requirements.

I don’t want to beat the dead Nebraska horse to death, but I think the sticking point might be that both teams want a home game. Why not agree to play in Lincoln this year, in return Nebraska agrees to a return trip to Ames in the near future?

Nebraska has a contingency game in place with Akron for Dec 1st

2025 would be the most likely first available on their end and they would then have 6 road games, so I would find it hard to believe they’d want that.

Yeah with scheduling so far out now, it sure makes things difficult in these scenarios. They have Arizona on the schedule for 2031.

Comparing scheduling UNI to trying to schedule a non-scholarship team isn't even in the same universe. But nice try.

That is what I don't get. He tweets to the entire world about how he tried to schedule a game against Drake and petitioned the NCAA for a five win waiver for a bowl game. That is embarrassing stuff from any AD.

Way better, they actually offer scholarships which gives them a huge advantage. Southern and LSU are actually talking about making a series of games.

They just got beat 54-17 by Louisiana Tech...
