All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

This.

If hoknation is good at one thing, beside belly rubbing and vodka shots, it is rationalizing the superiority of their programs. We can't hope to compete with them there. They have decades of experience trying to convince people they are relevant outside of East Central Iowa. That often requires running down programs that they envy.

Curious, has one Hawkeye poster on here said they should be suspended for Saturday. I’m pretty active on Hawkeyereport, and haven’t seen many.

Curious. Did I say anyone had?

I don't know how 'many' you have or haven't seen but it is predictable that hok fans are aware of the unique situation and ready to jump all over ISU when the time is right.

Who cares who is playing on either team. I expect both programs to put forward the best players within the rules they run their teams by. I am sure not interested in what hoks think about CMCs approach and I am certainly not interested in KFs approach.

So of all the players hyped on here this off season by Iowa fans was Hooker the only one that didn't struggle? We know both TE, Smith, Stanley, the JUCO nobody wanted and Jones had rough days

Reminds me, there were hawk/s here that said sargant would even start at back for Iowa. Did he play in regular time, or even in mop up?

Hockenson looked good. You only wish you had one tight end on your roster as good as Hockenson. Iowa has two. Fant will be fine. He had one drop. We now see why Iowa moved on from Brock. They wanted a third RB this year and didn’t know if the freshmen would be ready. Enter Sargent. He ran really hard. He will be good as a change of pace back.

As far as good days go, the Iowa running backs had good days. The Iowa offensive line, considering they were missing TWO NFL PLAYERS AT TACKLES, had a good day allowing only one sack. Remember this wasn’t a scrub line, having the NCAA leader in sacks and TFL on it. The defensive line and defensive backfield was really really good, although the offense they played was suspect.

So all in all, your troll job sort of missed the point. Yawn.

Both Fant and Hockensen really struggled to block which is a huge part of their job but OK

Iowa got more receiving production out of their TEs in one game than Iowa State’s had all last season. Iowa’s third string TE has already almost matched the amount of yards ISU’s vaunted 2nd team all-conference TE had all of last year. LOL!

Allen can block, Fant and Hockenson can not. That's the difference. Coaches notice these things which is why Allen was second team all conference last year, Fant was third team and Hockenson was nothing

Well at least you actually don't know about ISU football.

This reminds me of when Hokdom would say Young wasn't effective because his PPG were on par as some 10th hok player during ISU's double digit wins at the end of the 2017 season.

That you Mash?

Since you obviously watched the game, I’d love to get your opinion on what you saw from Iowa in all three phases of the game. TIA.

Iowa fans don't care if their basketball players play defense or if their tight ends actually block. It's truly amazing

Didn't watch the game. It wasn't even on our TV at the tailgate because we had some Tennessee fans at our tailgate so we had that game on. Going off the box score and Hawkeye Game Film which has been universally respected by Iowa fans on this site for quite some time I have a good feel on how things went down

I can't say what Allen is like as a total receiving TE but the few times they used the TE for it last year he had some real athletic catches.

Gotcha. So you’re allowed to make evaluations of Iowa players based on not watching the games, but I’m not allowed to do the same for Iowa State players. Seems fair.
