Iowa -7 vs ISU

Had a friend that said Iowa will be making an announcement probably monday. With OSU promoting their O.C. to replace Meyer, Barta has heard the Brian Ferentz is being considered to become the OC there, so Barta will be announcing a raise to a cool 1 mil for lil Ferentz.

Interesting. Hope he gets the help he needs

I think the burden of proof is on you, here. I don't know the kid, and neither do you, but I'm not willing to jump on someone's character based on a standard 1 game suspension for an OWI.

As far as Snyder goes, here's an article that says "At Iowa, he publicly got caught up in alcohol use." Do you think it's a possibility that he had a late night of drinking and missed practice(s) or was late for practice(s)? I have no idea if that was the case, but it certainly is plausible that he wasn't holding up his end of the deal without getting in trouble with the law. Unless you can come up with something tangible, it would probably be best to refrain from going after a player's character without knowing all of the details of both circumstances.

I wish him well on his new path and am confident Gervase and Stone will be adequate to fill that position.

It's been made clear there is something going on behind the scenes with Wirfs.

I know why Snyder got kicked off the team and I genuinely hope he gets the help he needs

Do you have anything to back up "It's been made clear there is something going on behind the scenes with Wirfs." other than a 1 game suspension for an OWI?

Hawkeye fans told me that because he has to miss playing time when Snyder didn't for the same crime. I wrongly claimed KF was punishing differently because of various reasons and it was pointed out to be the different punishment is because of Wirfs and how he is behind the scenes compared to Snyder

Let it go, man. It's not fair to Wirfs for you to drag his name though the mud questioning his character when he's serving the same suspension most players would get for an OWI.

We now know Snyder's case was a bit more complex than a one-off drinking and driving situation. If Wirfs does it again, I'll be right there with you questioning his character.

Snyder had good character which is why he didn't have to miss playing time for an OWI. Wirfs has to be miss playing time. Take it any way you want it but that was told to me from Iowa fans

From all accounts, Snyder did have good character. Somewhere along the line, something shifted. Once his incident happened, he was kicked off the leadership group, had to stay home for the bowl trip, banned from the facilities, and eventually mutually left the program because of his issues. I hope like hell he gets things turned in the right direction.

They are entirely different situations, and if Campbell did the same thing, I wouldn't have any problem with it.
