All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Both had similar production last year but Bailey has a much higher ceiling

Anthony Nelson 41 tkls 9.5 tfl 7.5 sks 2ff 4 pbu

Jaquon Bailey 34 tkls 11tfl 7 sks 2 ff 3 pbu

Nelson beat or tied him in every category except one.

Nelson had more tackles, more sacks and more PBU's.

Not sure what you are basing the upside comment on, there is only a 2.5 month difference in age between them.

Bailey had more TFL's, Nelson had .5 more sack. Bailey has more upside because he was a big time recruit and he's a freak athlete. He chose ISU over Florida, Miami, Louisville, Tennessee, Va Tech, UNC, Cincinnati, Wake Forest, Pitt, Purdue and Vandy. Nobody outside of Iowa or ISU offered Nelson

It's already been said different defensive schemes, so basing numbers to exact numbers doesn't work that well.

So all those offers and freakish athletic ability and only 2.5 months younger than Nelson and he still cant produce better numbers than him?

Sounds like he either isnt being properly developed or may have been overrated in the recruiting process.

I will let you decide which one it is.

One played a 3 man front, the other didn't but OK

So which is it?

Bailey has more upside or he didnt produce to the level of Nelson because of the system he played in. You seem to be changing horses....shocking, I know.

Their production was very similar last year. Nelson had the advantage because of the 4 man front. Bailey is more athletic and was a much better recruit that's why i think he has more upside

Great joke, you will be here all week right?

So wouldnt Nelson be the best DE in the state right now but you think Bailey has a chance to pass him based on "upside"?

No I think Bailey is the best DE in the state right now, especially with another off season with the GOAT Rudy Wade under him

Based on what though?

Offers and athletic ability and upside give him potential but what are the facts that make you state this, other than the fact you are a complete homer.

To me A. Nelson seems to have the higher pro upside because of his size. They are both really good though. Can't go wrong with either one. Lima definitely the best DT in the state though.
