Iowa Football Recruiting

It's a really tired narrative, and wrong in every respect, that Hawkeye fans continue to believe that they recruit in a manner different than other schools. It quite frankly reeks of arrogance. There's not a single team in the country that recruits "based on stars".

Iowa. Recruits. Exactly. The. Same. As. Everybody. Else.
Yikes.

You guys have played the "we didn't want him anyways" on just about every football recruit you've missed on for two years now

That’s not true at all. And I never said that Iowa didn’t want Newsome, only that they stopped recruiting him a month or two ago. They could have stopped recruiting Newsome because he said he wasn’t interested.

and what exactly is that? What is it that Iowa does in recruiting that everybody does?

Cytwins and iSu fans want to sell the world on the fasad that iSu is going to overtake Iowa in football because Iowa doesn’t get every kid they ever offered at every position.

While the reality is that while Iowa may miss on a 2-3 star recruit they will still get others 2-3 star players at the same position . In the end it all comes back to how well Iowa develops that player. That alone will impact the quality of the footbal program going forward and Iowa has a long history of being able to develop high quality college football players.

Do you really feel this giddy over a player being ranked 656 vs another being ranked 667? Slap yourself on the back claim victory and then go get yourself a cookie.

So long story short you were wrong. That's all you needed to say

So what kind of cookie are you going to get yourself to celebrate you historic victory of one player being ranked 656 and another 667?

I don't need any cookie. I'm not celebrating anything. You were wrong (like usual) and I pointed it out. Simple as that
