All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

It was widely discussed at the time. You’d have to go back and search for it. Foster was an Iowa legacy recruit and went to an Iowa camp, but they didn’t like him enough to offer. The staff thought his feet were slow and he wasn’t athletic enough for Iowa’s zone blocking scheme.

Foster begged Iowa to take him? Lol nope

And I highly doubt Foster begged Iowa for an offer but I am sure him and his family wanted one him being a legacy and all. Obviously, Iowa didn't think he fit with their scheme but that doesn't mean he isn't a good recruit and won't be a good player. The kid has a pretty big upside.
I'm excited to see what kind of improvements Foster makes this year.

He put on 10 lb or so and obviously needed some strength. That said, he's already now bigger than Campos ever was at ISU.

So no Hawk fans are willing to actually address my question beyond saying the line was “inconsistent.”

Not that I’m surprised of course.

I thought I addressed that, at least at the tackles. The top two got hurt and they had to step in as freshmen. They struggled initially but righted the ship late.

7527"]Haha, interesting attempt. Everyone knows Iowa is O-Line U. It's a good thing that MC is trying to model the program after KF, so you might get there. Give it time.[/QUOTE]
Everyone knows Iowa consistently produces very good lineman. Why cant Iowa State do that?

Does that validate the team's overall statistical performance? Does your explanation explain it enough? I tend to think there is more to it than the "inconsistency" of the tackles. I could see it if we were talking about a mid-pack performance (50% percentile), but you are trying to explain a 116/129 (10% percentile!) Total Offensive rating.

What was your username and I'll take a peek?

Iowa probably had the worst group of receivers of any P5 team last year. They couldn’t get open and when they did, they couldn’t catch the ball. Teams didn’t respect Iowa’s perimeter passing game and routinely blitzed the **** out of Iowa’s line because they didn’t think Iowa’s receivers could make them pay- and they were right.

Are you expecting much different this year?

If They had the worst receivers, why are hawk fans putting any on the list.

Well, it sounds like whoever is recruiting and coaching WRs needs canned.

@YeahBuddy

I went to an event yesterday and it included a tour of the locker rooms. There is no TOE countdown, just a countdown until the next game which is SDSU. I'm sure the week of the rivalry there will be a countdown for TOE but there is a continuous countdown clock until the next game.

I'm not sure why this is hard for him to understand
