Foster, Wirfs and Jackson all have high ceilings IMO but none of them proved anything last year
Lol at comparing ol’ cinder block feet to Wirfs and Jackson. Not even in the same stratosphere.

Obsessed much?Also- would anyone be surprised if Kempt isn’t even the starting QB come November? The schedule seems to set up perfectly for the annual Iowa State QB switcheroo- Kempt struggles against a tough schedule and gets benched just in time for Noland to take on the easy portion and sneak Iowa State to six wins. Then we get to spend all offseason talking about how good Noland is, and how next year is the year- until Noland is invariably replaced halfway through next season by Mitchell.
Wisconsin is better and I’d definitely put Alabama and Notre Dame in front of Iowa. USC, Michigan, OU all come to mind for good line schools, not sure if any of those are better off hand.Haha, interesting attempt. Everyone knows Iowa is O-Line U. It's a good thing that MC is trying to model the program after KF, so you might get there. Give it time.
So no Hawk fans are willing to actually address my question beyond saying the line was “inconsistent.”
Not that I’m surprised of course.

Wirfs and Foster were top 350 recruits. Jackson wasn't even top 600!
All 3 struggled last year and have high ceilings IMO
Foster has lead feet and has a lot of work to do on his body. It’s telling that a “top 350” recruit like Foster was choosing between Purdue and Iowa State a month before signing day, while Iowa had to fend off Michigan and Michigan State for Jackson.
Foster was a top 350 recruit and ranked similar to Wirfs. Jackson wasn't top 600. Those are facts. Plus Jackson obviously has some character issues on top of that
Premium info link?Foster begged Iowa to take him and Iowa said “thanks, but no thanks”. That’s also a fact.
Yeah Purdue sucks. LOL at the teams that lose to them.Foster has lead feet and has a lot of work to do on his body. It’s telling that a “top 350” recruit like Foster was choosing between Purdue and Iowa State a month before signing day, while Iowa had to fend off Michigan and Michigan State for Jackson.
Says benji about every ISU recruit.Foster begged Iowa to take him and Iowa said “thanks, but no thanks”. That’s also a fact.
Foster doesn't have lead feet, was a RS Freshman, and is 6'8 312.Foster has lead feet and has a lot of work to do on his body. You are making the claim so link it.It was widely discussed at the time. You’d have to go back and search for it. Foster was an Iowa legacy recruit and went to an Iowa camp, but they didn’t like him enough to offer. The staff thought his feet were slow and he wasn’t athletic enough for Iowa’s zone blocking scheme.
