They only like ginger talent.

Sorta like a reverse of the Melsahn Basabe recruitment. Basabe wanted to go to Shaka Smart & VCU or basketball titan Boston College, but a connection to a former coach/recruiter drew him to Iowa City (plus the fact that neither of the other 2 schools actually offered him a scholly).Shayok wanted to go to ISU from the get go thus visited 2nd and committed and didn't draw out the recruitment process though he is on record a number of schools reached out to him.
Liberty was a token visit due to a former coach connection.
And that should end that "argument" as reason not to believe Shayok should be very good next year.
Uconn and Baylor wanted him too. Explain why you're happy ISU got an impact transfer. That's just weird
Gonna be hard for him to offer up a solid argument. BTW, here is an excerpt from the DM register regarding Shayok's decision to come to Ames:Bump for @YeahBuddy
Shocker. He’s wrong again.Gonna be hard for him to offer up a solid argument. BTW, here is an excerpt from the DM register regarding Shayok's decision to come to Ames:
Shayok, a native of Ottawa, Canada, knew fellow Canadian and now former Iowa State star Naz Mitrou-Long growing up. Shayok saw how much Mitrou-Long thrived in the Iowa State offense. He also got a first-hand look at the intensity of Iowa State fans when Virginia squared off with the Cyclones in the Sweet 16 during the 2015-16 season, witnessing firsthand as Iowa State fans crammed into the United Center to make it a home game, of sorts, for the Cyclones.
Both things stuck with Shayok when he went looking for a new school.
“I knew from when they told me the fan base was crazy here, I knew 100 percent that was true just based on that from the Sweet 16 game in Chicago,” Shayok said.
Shayok, who drew interest from schools such as Baylor and UConn, decided to come to Iowa State so he could play in front of those fans and thrive in that offense.

Ive already explained it several times. For the sake of the rest of the people on this board, please stop repeating questions that have been answered numerous times already.
No you haven't. You said you were happy about it because of the scholarship situation which makes no sense. That's why I'm asking again. I have no clue why you would be excited when your rival adds an impact transfer
Yes I have. Heck, someone else answered it for me earlier in this thread so you should be able to recall the reasoning.
Show some respect for your fellow posters and stop repeating questions that have been answered repeatedly in the past.
The way Grad Transfers work is a bit different than recruiting HS players. You hear of schools trying to line up visits with grad transfers, but you don't really hear the word "offer" being bandied about, if at all. Mooney from SD is an example - I never heard him being OFFERED by multiple schools - but I heard that multiple schools were interested. The Grad Transfer will decide to make a visit or not based upon a lot of factors (fit, needs, etc). Mooney ended up choosing TTech - but there were a lot of places he chose NOT to visit. The DM Register and LLCool's post should make it obvious as to why ISU was Shayok's destination & why Liberty was the only other school he visited. I noticed you did NOT argue with him. Of course, being a Hok fan generally makes one completely oblivious as to why a D1 talent would want to come to ISU. However, if you would ever experience Hilton Magic or even the great crowds we get at NCAAs or other tourneys and the way the fans LOVE and cheer for the Cyclones, you might actually be able to pry your black and gold colored blinders to see the appeal of that type of atmosphere. Unfortunately, you guys have to resort to stuff like free pizza and Star Wars theme nights to try and draw crowds into CHA - so I shouldn't be too surprised at the ignorance. Finally, as I said in an earlier post, we will see how Shayok performs this year - that is where the proof will be.In what world is "showing interest" the same as offering him?
WHO CARES!!!!!!
I'm fascinated that you care what some pale dude in his mother's basement thinks about anything.I do. I'm fascinated that an Iowa fan is happy we got Shayok

My bad on mis-speaking. TRANSFER. My original point still remains about "offers" and transfers. Not sure why you keep referencing grad transfers but Shayok was not a grad transfer.
