Iowa Football Recruiting

I can't reason with you when it comes to Kirk. Doesn't matter if he's playing injured players or pulling scholarships you're going to defend him

Jake was a walk on. When walk ons are given a scholarship, they are specifically told that it’s a year to year kind of thing. That’s the way it works everywhere.

This is all so funny. Anyone on here with even half a brain understands there isn't one difference between how Iowa and ISU recruit for football at all, with the exception that ISU does hand out a lot more offers, but Iowa still hands out WAY more than they could ever possibly accept, so it doesn't matter in terms of what we are talking about.

KF recruits no different than CMC, or Urban Meyer, or Nick Saban. And these Hawk lovers that think they are all holier than thou are a bunch of arrogant simple minded lemmings who just worship the ground KF walks on.

I agree with almost all of that but other coaches might not revoke your offer (like Kirk) if you verbal and want to go visit another program later (say they get a new coach).
You are basically spot on though.

It won't be for Jake. I honestly think this is way worse than when Kirk played an injured player on one leg just to try to win a bowl game
Going to have to be more specific. CJ looking like a hobbled mess in a bowl game or Scherff in Iowa’s Super Bowl?

Well those offers arent valid right now as they are going to land 2 of their higher targets so they wouldnt be able to commit.

The staff communicates with these guys and lets them know if their spot has been taken. If Brock doesnt choose Iowa, they will have a spot available for the first one that wants to jump at it.

Its pretty obvious you dont understand The Policy. Stick to CMC style recruiting that can never crack the Top 50 nationally.
I know this got swallowed up in the whole scholarship discussion, but it's too funny and too ironic to ignore.

First of all, Iowa's average recruiting rank over the past five years (247 composite) is 48.8.

Second of all, you're that arrogant about a mediocre recruiting staff that you've decided to give it a name and capitalize it - The Policy. That's just so precious. I need to remember that one.

And third, you've pivoted so far in helplessly defending your failed claim that all Iowa offers are committable that you simply can't see that telling players they only have a spot if certain other players don't sign is the singular definition of a noncommittable offer.

So please stop telling me I don't understand The Policy. It's the same policy for every team across the land.
