Is Fran building a regional powerhouse or just calling Iowa fans idiots and morons?

You want to converse about bracketology in June? You truly are an idiot.

What else is there to talk about? The draft decisions have been made by everyone and college football is about 3 months away from starting.

I answered it, I said it was mostly an issue with defense last season.

Then how can you explain someone who would be picked first in pick up games and started last year went to Drake and was just picked 4th in the CCL draft if their isn't a talent issue?

He started one game, I dont even remember which one, and played the 10th most MPG for Iowa last season.

This is a really bad effort by you.

He started and pretty much played the whole game against ISU I know. He played 94 games in his career at Iowa but it's not a talent issue. Lol OK

There are a lot of assumptions with this opinion (and I agree that Iowa doesn't have a ton of talent). But just in terms of an argument, your position isn't very solid. Here are some examples:

1) You assume that one player talent = the talent of the whole team.
2) You assume that Fran would never start a less talented player over a more talented player.
3) You also have never defined what you mean by "talent issue" and what you consider to be a "talented" player.
4) You assume that Iowa has a "talent issue" and not a "coaching issue" or "development issue".

Interesting, did not remember that.

Like I said it's a talent issue. Ellingson is going to be mediocre at best at a bad mid major program, losing Williams was a "huge blow" and he went to a bad mid major program and Wagner who started for you guys is now playing football. I don't understand how you guys don't see it

Who in the Big Ten has less talent than Iowa as a team? I'll hang up and listen

I coudn't tell you off the top of my head besides the obvious, but I could look into it but first I need some parameters. How are you defining "talent"?

FYI: You aren't on a telephone.

Wagner and Ellingson combined to play 20 MPG last season. I never said losing Williams was a "huge blow".

Like I said, poor effort here.

Talent would be defined as good basketball players. The only team in the Big Ten that has worse basketball players than Iowa is Rutgers IMO

Wow....

Makes sense for Fran to regularly start less talented players. His bench is really good. Uhm talent issue and talented player are the same thing. So your admitting there’s a coaching issue? WTH.

So you are using a purely subjective measure of talent? Are you deciding what a "good basketball player" is? Or are you basing it off something else?

Fran sucks as a coach, our defense is bad, we need quicker players, etc. They'll all say that but when you just flat out look at their roster and say it comes down to talent they'll jump at everything to say Fran is good at recruiting and bringing in good players. Odd to say the least
