Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

Hope is a synonym of Trust. the words virtually mean the same thing

Hope is an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respect to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large.

Trust: Assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something.

Not the same, at all.

Its reverse psychology. I tease about it because that is what all ISU fans did until they had a winning season and had a higher vote total in a system that is used for ranking the top 25. ISU fans used to scream about SOS and this and that until this last year and use a poll such as saragin. It is interesting to see. SO when you think we are trying to tell you how little you matter, you are in fact referencing the way clone fans have discredited Iowa for years telling us how little we matter.

I am not following. If we are using one we are using one. It cant be both ways. Then you get stupid petty arguments around here.

Maybe we can just discuss the merits of each team and not be whiny little ******* about what poll is better?

If you guys actually wanted to have a peaceful conversation about the two teams you wouldn't all get banned so often.

Seriously.... define synonym please.... words that have SIMILAR meaning. Trust and hope can be used however you want them to be used. It is the state of mind that you are referencing. Trusting a process of building a team and program and hoping that it works goes hand in hand. Trust and hope are one in the same and have to be associated with each other for them both to exist.

From Merriam/Webster - Synonym means a word that has the same, or nearly the same meaning as another word.

Here's an example of how hope and trust aren't anywhere near the same-

The hok fans don't hope Ferentz will take them to a bowl game.

They trust he will.

See the difference? ISU fans don't hope Campbell will create a winning program, they trust he will. Hope is based on an expected outcome, far from a sure one. Trust is relying the outcome will be what you want it to be.

If the resident trolls (aka @CyTwins, @JP4CY and @1976) were capable of engaging in thoughtful, rational, unbiased discussions, that’s what would happen in this forum. Instead, they choose to troll, and the discussion devolves into what you are witnessing today.

So you're blaming the Cyclone posters on a Cyclone website for the extreme amounts of BS you spew on this site? Really?

Now I know Twins in particular really likes to argue with you guys, but you literally come to a rival teams site to try and start ****.

Lol. The resident trolls are the instigators the vast majority of the time. If they stopped trolling, the amount of ****posting in the ISR forum would decrease exponentially.
