Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

Using that logic, the big ten blew chunks in football this year because they had nobody in the playoffs. Also proves the big XII over the last generation has been stronger due to More national titles. These trolls want it both ways when you point these things out

Are we talking football?

And I agree it is pointless because I initially started this conversation saying the Big 10 and Big 12 were dang near equal when i comes to basketball but the BIG was down last year. Then the taunting ensued and I simply pointed out that people saying the Big 12 was better were wrong using a some statistics. SO thank you for agreeing with me

Just repeating what I read over the weekend. Just because he may end up at Iowa doesnt mean I wont be objective. You should try it with ISU related items once in a while.

Let's face it he's definitely trending to be an Iowa favorite at this point

can you show me something else that is more relevant than the final 4 appearances then?

I know Iowa isn't ever on Big Monday or Super Tuesday but have you not watched any college basketball the past several years? Every crew in the studio mention that the Big 12 is the deepest conference in America

Yikes

Taunting, that’s snowflake level of you think people have been taunting you. More like making fun of you.

Advanced metrics already rank conference strength, that's nothing new. I recall the ACC and Big 12 trading places for top conference for a while now, ACC being better at the top end and Big 12 being stronger down the board.

Taking only Final Four appearances brings in one of my favorite talking points here (particularly by hoks), the "favorable path" argument. See: Michigan last March. Easiest path on the planet. I tend to agree with the "tournament is a s***show" side before anything else about it, it's hard to take that particular subset of games and rank the entirety of college basketball on it.

Lock is a bit strong. I'm confident but lock is 100%.

Thanks for being objective. I think you and one other guy are at least objective around here. ISU has a WAY WAY WAY better shot then Iowa next year that is for sure.

IN the history of the tournament

the big 10 has had 49 more teams make it than the big 12. second only to the ACC.

Well, congrats on your historical success, I guess?

Too bad history doesn't determine ranking within the last few years or so, like we've been discussing.

Buddy said ISUs sweet sixteen didn’t count since we didn’t beat high seeded teams to get there. I had forgotten that argument of his. @Thinker you have to forget Michigan’s run this year due to how iowa perceives their competition.
