why would the local media matter when it came to predictions? why would it matter if fans predicted we would win more.
Just in case you forgot how this started you said this:
You either were without internet from the month of March-November or suffer memory loss because I assure you Hawk media and Hawk fans were shocked with the way the season started out. Lots of folks thought they would be in the NCAA Tournament.

I am not reading this entire monument to drivel to see how long it takes you to correct yourself. You need to go practice on HN some more, come back when you are ready for varsity ball.
Its like 4 pages back and 2 or so posts after the one you responded to.... Dont get so angry. What does varsity have to do with posting on here? What do I need to practice? How to change my stance and act like I am never wrong? Seems to happen a lot around this place.
Isnt what I said by being on the bubble thinking you could make the tournament? It also means that it could not happen. Its not like we thought we were going to win the BIG. We had flaws and those out weighed the good last year. Please tell me all of the local media that said Iowa was a NCAA lock last year. I have looked but I did not find it. Just post the link so I can read it because I really do not remember local media saying Iowa was a NCAA lock. I found an article on fox saying if no transfers and people improve then Iowa would be a BIG contender in 2018-2019. That was in the Spring of 2017. It also stated that there would be some growing pains too.
So, in a nut shell, some local guys and fans thought Iowa would make it to the NCAA, some like myself were hopeful but skeptical at the same time. They sucked last year, so I was wrong about thinking they were bubble caliber but not about them having a flaw. That flaw was worse than expected and....transfers, injuries, chemistry issues did not help.
The Gazette thought Iowa would be an NCAA team
Miller thought Iowa was going to be good
I am not sure what the IC press-citizen said but I am sure they thought the same.
So the local beat writers thought they would be NCAA. They are fans of the team that thought they would be in the NCAA. A lock though? Not to sure as some of these predictions came in like August. Every team has a homer. Even this site has them believe it or not. All I remember is the BTN and land of 10 predictions because those were unbiased guys. and the Gazette and IC stuff are not local to me.
