I have said a few times on your posts that I think you get it and that I am rooting for you.
And here is another place we agree! I like direction Hok basketball is heading and hope it continues! Can you say that about our program?

Even if you throw aside that ToE schedule was much easier than ISU's, the expectations for the season were completely different.
This was the Hoks year to return to the Dance, probably do some 2nd round damage.
ISU ended up right where everyone expected. Bottom of the conference and watching the tourney from the Soukup Center.
Ergo, ISU's worst year = Hoks best year.
That has to hurt. Think of this place as therapy to get you through the hurt.
He plays that “I don’t know, or I don’t remember” card too much for someone that posts on boards more than all of us.
If it is he is putting in a lot of work for a bit. Which is sad if true.

What ISU does besides 1 game per season does not concern me.

Iowa supports its sports like ISU does for football, even when we are bad we want to believe we can be good.
Fran has been bad in some areas of coaching but has done good in others
Woody was a project big man that improved the team and his game in 4 years. Helped Iowa get out of the abyss.
How does that make me dumb? I am trusting the process with Fran at the helm.
Iowa had a better strength of schedule, an ISU poster actually pointed that out earlier in the thread......
Expectations? Most hawk fans thought it was a year of a bubble birth. Not sure who expected to be in the tourney? Some might have but I did not think it was a sure thing. Most writers did not either. So hawk fans having enthusiasm to see their team get to the tourney is one thing. Actual predictions by unbiased sources said otherwise. That is what we use in this thread is opinion, not fact. Unless we have changed that again today........
Wasn’t woody a four star and a huge land you Hawks said. ? If so, how can you call such a great player a project?
No, it makes me optimistic. Dumb would be thinking we make the tourney for sure next year because Fran is the coach. I do not think that is a given. I think it could happen but likely wont....
