Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

How can you say with a straight face he improved defensively last year? I notice you keep ignoring this question because you know what you're saying isn't true

He seemed to be more or less the same to me, but I am willing to give him a pass. One, because he was dealing with a foot injury all season, but played through it because he had to. And two, he was being asked to play nearly the entire game as the only player capable of bringing the ball up the court, and one of the only players capable of generating offense. That’s incredibly taxing, and I don’t know many college basketball players who can play 36+ minutes on a consistent basis and give maximum effort at all times on both ends of the court. Having a competent backup PG next year should allow Bohannon to play less minutes and give more effort during those minutes.

You forgot all about him being a diva, Mash.

So he didn't improve defensively last year but we're crazy to think he won't improve this year? Lol cmon

Wow, you are fully committed to your side. Enjoy it the next 2 years.

When you ignore the improvements made on the offensive side of the ball, yes. You can’t just claim that he didn’t improve defensively, therefore he didn’t improve at all.

Really you guys are peaked offensively though as a team. Your offensive efficiency numbers aren't going to get better than last year. If you're going to talk about improving it needs to be focused on defense or enjoy another awful season

Sounds like the rest of the roster blows chunks with that description:
Had to
Only player
One of the only

Once their backup PG transferred to a bad mid major program they were in really bad shape. Devastating blow

Williams transferred because it became clear that Connor was going to beat him out at the backup PG spot, FWIW. Made it very unfortunate when Connor was forced to miss pretty much the entire season due to illness/injury.

How is it clear when there’s no minutes to judge that opinion off of?

There was talk last off season about developing a floater and taking it to the basket more. How did that turn out?

Europe trip + practice. Again, you don’t have to believe me if you don’t want, but that is what happened. Why else do you think Williams would have transferred just weeks before the games started (and the day before the first exhibition game)?

Why is Cook going to leave Iowa when he's not getting drafted? Fran McCaffrey

Oh wait never mind it's more believable that Fran didn't know if his own son was better than a bad mid major player until the beginning of the season. Lol!

I would say fairly well considering he raised his 2 point FG% and got to the line much more frequently than his freshman season.
