My Pledge—No More Trolling

I don’t know, I would say the future 1st round draft pick and best TE in college football is probably the best player in the state. Montgomery is up there, though.

The best TE in college football was 3rd team all conference last year with only 30 catches and less than 500 yards? I'll call BS on that

You’re not very good at this. I just pointed out that QBR is pretty widely considered to be a poor rating system. I had no issue with others who posted QB Efficiency Rating, which also scored Kempt higher. I think a combination of the eye test and statistics are the way to go; I understand that runs counter to the CyFan hive mind, which thinks statistics are the only thing that matters.

Besides, Iowa having a better strength of schedule has little to do with Stanley being a better QB than Kempt.

Well the eye test certainly favors Kempt so I'm not sure your argument

You seem to be leaving out the fact that he led the nation in TDs and yards per catch. I wonder why that is?

He definitely didn't lead the tight ends in yards per catch. Congrats on earning third team all conference but he doesn't belong in the same sentence as Montgomery

He either led TEs in yards per catch, or had the highest yards per catch of all returning TEs in 2018. You are right about one thing though- Fant and Montgomery should not be mentioned in the same sentence. One of those players is being billed as a first round pick; the other....not so much.

There were multiple TEs last year that averaged more ypc just an FYI. Montgomery has certainly proved to be a much better college player, link to their draft projections?

A quick search shows their are multiple TEs that averaged more ypc coming back for next year too

Really? A quick search for me shows only one TE who had a better YPC last year. I will admit that I was wrong about that, he was 2nd in YPC amongst TEs. Sorry about that.

Noah "hands of stone" Fant" probably lead the conference in drops also. See the Northwestern game. Nice try there mashup!!

Louis Dorsey and Cole Herdman are two guys returning with a higher ypc in the Big Ten alone. Hell Sean Dykes averaged 22.1 ypc last year as a sophomore for Memphis!

Must not have had enough catches to qualify for the leaderboard.
