Cook declined comment the night before at the awards banquet and Pemsl pretty much said hes going to do whats best for him.
From what I have read, Pemsl's decision is probably riding on what Cook does.
You do realize one foot out the door is declaring, working out and talking to scouts. Two feet out the door is hiring an agent. Cook declining to talk to reporters this week isn't a promising sign will return to Iowa.
Pesml sounds like he's seriously considering moving to get a fresh start during his interview. I am not putting a lot of stock on a EIU Basketball release, that is program spin to curb the speculation. Iowa Basketball wouldn't release anything that wasn't pro EIU.
From what you've read? Fran just publicly said Pemsl will be back for sure and Iowa basketball just released he's going to be back and is 100% invested

Chad & Mark Emmert seemed pretty convinced last night that Cook wouldn't be returning to Iowa. In fact they seemed nearly 100% sure he wouldn't.

Cook hasnt spoken on this for weeks and stated yesterday hes either going to be in the NBA or back at Iowa. Pemsl just the night before the article was released made comments that he is going to do whats best for him.
So to summarize you think Cook will be back because Iowa released an article saying he might be back but you think Pemsl is 50/50 on returning even though Iowa released an article saying he will 100% be back? I want to make sure I'm accurate here
I love that Pemsl is going to wait until after most transfers and high school players will be off the board to decide on his transfer.
A mid major will still take him regardless when it is, especially knowing they have a whole year to fix whatever Fran tried to teach him
