Movie rental night at Boxster Theater North. So Shape of Water was quirky cool as heck.

KC will NOT like the cat scene though.

My sister-in-law wants to quit her job to volunteer to work with the poor and underprivileged. She was not making that much money to start, but she made a living.

While noble, the plan now is... ??? PROFIT!!!

I for one am very thankful that there are people in this world willing to do what she wants to do. Greed is so typical these days.....not that I'm immune, either. I wish her well!!!

Is this like a peace corp thing? Is she married where the spouse's income will be enough to get by on? Sounds like an ok thing to do if she has her basic necessities covered. If she is planning on sleeping on your couch yeah maybe not such a great plan.

Nope. Single. No real interest in dating from what I can tell.

Mid-20s, done with school, no debt (thankfully) and a steady job otherwise.

Money for living expenses? Kind of one of those, "Jesus has a plan" sorts of things.

Took advantage of $3.14 pi day at Blaze pizza yesterday and had dinner for the whole family for under $20. Blaze is one of those wood fired pizza chains, you can pick and choose your own toppings. We had loved Vesuvius pizza in Ames which was the same premise, but not a chain. The 6yr old gave Blaze 5 stars, the 5yr old gave Blaze 100 starts. Considering with the $3.14 deal they probably had a steady stream of customers all day, it was good food and good service. We had to wait in line about 45min but did find a place to seat and eat in the restaurant when we got our pizzas.

Blaze is on Lincoln Way just south of Lake LaVerne. There is another similar pizza place called Smokin' Oak that is just a block west on LW. All sorts of new restaurants right there--Pot Belly subs, Blaze, Smokin' Oak, Fuzzys Tacos, Freddy's Steakburgers. Will try out a few more once the students are gone this summer.

That was a bank and parking lot when I went to school.

Yes, we went to ISU pretty much the same time. :p Hubby hadn't been in campus town in a long time and was mentioning how wrong it was to have a CVS where People's was. I told him maybe he would have liked it, it lived in a house on Welch close to Towers his last 2.5yrs. I said he could have stopped quick for milk or something on the way home. He was still not convinced.

So Taco Tico had $0.59 hard shell tacos all day yesterday with no limit. The vixen was going to pick some up for us after work......the line of cars was back into the street and nearly a full block long. Don't think the federales were too appreciative of that. So we scrapped that idea and went to Plan B - Hacienda Vieja in the mall. Our fave Mexican place, had the Pollo Asado and was in heaven.

So that's why I didn't get my tacos.
