New person who outranks me is not great on attention to detail. Have three times called my employee by the wrong name (I've continually corrected) and repeatedly misspell a major product line. I've already corrected them on several things so far and hadn't on that because A. surely someone else is going to point this out, right? It's a fairly big deal and noticeable. Think like Amazon management spelling "Alexa" as "Alex". They are going to give presentations about this product, someone else is going to correct this, right?!?!? B. Since I've already corrected them on several things I'm trying to watch myself in that arena.

Finally, today their direct report (who knows how to spell this product but apparently has seen it incorrectly so many times from their manager now that they are doing it) uses it incorrectly in an email that includes me and that manager and their manager........I decide welp, now it's infecting others and I must stop this. I do a reply all politely pointing out the correct spelling. Sorry coworker, I had to use you as my foil on this.

In their defense heifer is kind of a weird word...

FYI, if you're interested in the tourney, don't wait until tomorrow morning to try to fill out your bracket. Last year, people were having trouble accessing the site for the three hours prior to the start of the tournament due to high traffic.

Right now, I'm only showing 5 people with brackets filled out.

Dan Gable was announced as the keynote speaker at an area dinner thing. They of course listed off that he is a 15 time national championship coach at EIU and what not and conveniently left off anything to do with his college career. I debated commenting that he was also a two time nation champion in college at ISU but decided it wasn't worth it.

I was at a dinner engagement several years ago that he spoke at. I was not impressed.

I don't think you can see anyone's picks until the brackets lock. I can, on our family pool, because I'm an administrator. So Cooler probably can...

And yes, the standings page shows that you're entered.

Like KC said, I can see them since I'm the administrator, but they aren't open to everyone else until the tourney starts and everyone gets locked in.

I can also change peoples' picks. For a modest fee, I'm willing to change a competitor's championship winner to Cal State Fullerton.

Woman on radio said 1/2 oz water per pound. So 100 lb person needs 50 ounces. Cripes, I thought 2 qts was it. Gotta add at least another quart. I won’t get anything done but drinking and peeing.

Learned something new at the swings today. If you don't learn to kick for yourself, you'll never be ready to be a grownup.
Kid was Z's size, and we were partying away, but that was nice to learn, I guess.

Z overcame them by encouraging the other kids along on the playground. She apparently is not about to be dragged down (usually). That really was nice to see.
