What’s the point of doing that if you then immediately make sure everybody knows you missed it on purpose?
Probably worried about getting sued by the Street family would be my guess.
Believe it was the front end of a 1 and 1. Would have been awesome if Iowa had ended up losing the game because of those missed FT opportunities.

Watched for a couple minutes. Noticed that sides were 2/3 -3/4 full and ends when they panned during FTs were a ghost town. How did it go nuts? Free peanuts instead of pizza?

I didn't watch the game. What was the context of the miss? I assume it was at the end of the game
Iowa was up by 8 w two minutes left, JorBo was fouled and at the line. He'd tied Chris Street's record of 34 consecutive made FTs, this would have broken that record so he intentionally missed the FT to preserve Street's name on the record.

What's weird about it? Seems pretty clear-cut and a class move to honor Street that way.
I'll be honest, as I logged on today I thought "even we would have a hard time finding fault with JBo intentionally missing a free throw for that reason." But alas.
