One of these days YeahBuddy will be correct in saying the opposite in basketball, but not until 2021 at the earliest.
You would think basketball guys would understand that you can't be absolute hot garbage on the defensive end and win games. Iowa is between 25-30 in the country in offensive efficiency and they are a terrible team. Their additions next year might make them better on offense but will not fix their defensive problems. As long as they are going to trot those traffic cones out there in the guard court they are going to suck. Wieskamp isn't going to be a good defender out of the gate. I've also heard sucking at defense is hereditary, so Fran's kids will be no help.
Was that his ISU-ToE prediction?
I mean, honestly, was anybody close to predicting an 80+ point shootout? I know I wasn't.
There is no chance this happens as long as fran is there. Let's hope they keep him 10 more years!
I knew we could score, I just didn't see their offense having a good game against us. They were horrible most of the year, but for some reason exploded against us and tOSU.
Yep, it was hilarious then and hilarious now. I could see if you thought ISU might win a close game, but no fan would have ever predicted that ISU would win in a blowout and actually believe it except for 1976. Most irrational poster on this site and that includes Yeahbuddy.
To listen to 1976 you would think ISU is comparable to Alabama and Iowa is compared to....well ISU.
I don’t compare us to Alabama. I say we are an up and coming program. And I said it before the season, and have been proven right. I’ve also said that the Iowa athletic department is heading the wrong way. That has also been proven to be correct. You just call me irrational because I’m saying things you can’t admit are true. Calling football a dumpster fire probably is too extreme, you are right and I’ll back off that statement. But it is stale and destined to stay mediocre. I would much rather have ISU’s future under CMC than Iowa’s under KF.
Iowa basketball is going to be horrible for a really long time.
It’s a hard thing for us non Hok fans to quantify when there are itk’s and media people that predict 10 wins every year. It’s now happening with basketball too. There are going to be Hok media and fans predicting 20+ wins and NCAA lock for next year.
It’s hard to imagine how anyone could have faith in Fran. Anytime I’ve seen them play this season he appears to be completely clueless. The rotation and in-game decisions are atrocious and make me laugh. It’s like he’s trying to lose. The Big 10 is just full of awful basketball and they are in Last place.
Apparently reporters should ask Fran if he's on the hot seat more often
Fran is looking to retire it looks like. Would you rather work for 5 more years and retire, or do a crappy job and get canned, get paid for five more and do what you want.
