***Big 10 Thread***

Whatever the tempo may be, I do feel that Iowa can score points. That really isn't their problem. Problem lies on the defensive end of the court and how much effort they put towards defense.

Problem is when you change lineups every 30 seconds the defenders struggle knowing who they are guarding for a possession, the other team scores and then fran subs in different guys and the circle continues.

Thought this would be fun

Barta has only had to make 2 major hires, Lickliter and Fran.

I would say he is 1/2.

When asked who was a better coach between Fran and Campbell

Fran, unless CMC can lead at least 4 different programs to a bowl game.

Also, he will be back to being a coordinator if he doesnt leave Ames after having the slightest bit of success. Just have him ask CPR how that works.

When asked who Barta has hired that was good

Fran, Brands and Heller.

Its time to build the Fran statue.

That is funny. The last one was probably in response to ISU building Orr a statue for only winning 40% of his conference games at ISU. That will never get old.

I'm confused with Iowa's obsession with conference record? Fran has had winning conference seasons and missed the tournament and Orr went 5-9 in conference play one year and won a game in the tournament

So why did Orr get a statue?

Can't create something that doesn't exist.

6 NCAA Tournaments, Sweet 16 and he created Hilton Magic

So he got it for making the NCAA tourney less than half the time, winning 40% of his conference games, making one Sweet 16 in 14 years and creating what is, going into this season, the 88th best home court advantage in college basketball? Seems like low standards for a basketball school.

Look where ISU basketball was before Orr. They were good only a handful of seasons out of 80. He took basically a dump of a program into being respectable and loved by its fans.

As for the home court advantage, that is factoring in a decade before Orr with again, dump years of basketball play. Orr years were widely known for protecting their home court and had problems on the road (other than neutral courts).
