U of I loses $1.4 million in lawsuit

They aren't. Just puzzled why ISU fans are when the results haven't been good.

I guess some fans might be obsessed with an AD but I have never met one. I could care less who the AD is as long as he isn't committing crimes or bankrupting the department.

This list doesn't even include letting Cael walk and firing maybe the best coach ISU has ever had in football or getting rid of the baseball program.

Hmm, in order to make a strong argument ones argument should contain facts and not falsehoods. The fact that you stated JP got rid of baseball single handedly proves you have no idea what you are talking about.

But good try though.

Why are hawk fans obsessed with Pollard?

Just odd to us is all. We have hated Barta for a long time even though the football program wins. We just don't understand how you can love a guy so much with such a bad track record?

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy About it, I hope Pollard stays forever at ISU.

When did I say I love Pollard? As I said, I could care less who the AD is. Again, how is his track record compared to other ADs of similar programs.
And I doubt every hawk fan hates Barta. Why would you have hate for an AD?

I would say that is adequate. What other ADs are doing better with similar schools?

Shooting 20% on coaching hires for your major athletic programs is adequate? Yikes.

Since you dont count wrestling, Barta has only had to make 2 major hires, Lickliter and Fran.

I would say he is 1/2.

And he hasnt ran off one of the most successful football coaches in program history like JP did so that has to count for something.

If Fran is a success story, so is Rhoads.

I know you are trolling so I know I shouldn't respond but just be serious here for a second.
Let's look at Minnesota or Illinois. How many football hires and basketball hires have they made in the last 10 years? What about other places like Rutgers?
Barta walked into a much different situation with football than Pollard did. The odds say that the next Iowa football coach will fail regardless of who makes the hire. Did Pollard fire McCarney too soon? who knows but he didn't do much after he left.
The majority of hires don't work out. That is why when you get a good guy you try like hell to hold on to him.
As far as basketball goes. Prohm has been to two straight NCAAs and a sweet sixteen. At this point that is a successful hire. If he fails later then it wasn't and you move on. Same with Rhoads.

I don't know I wasn't at the trial.

Jane Meyer was universally disliked in the AD office by co workers and coaches. and around Iowa City. I listened to the Moorehouse and Docherman podcast and Moorhouse flat out said she was a bad person. He said he didn't care that he was saying it because it was true, and Docherman agreed, and said she actually broke laws dealing with her, that Barta should have written her up for.
Ha ha this makes me laugh. Of course Moorehouse and Docherman are going to side with Barta and Iowa - they don't want to make enemies and lose any access to Hawkeye sports. Meyer doesn't do them any good. Give me a break.
Barta is intimidated by strong women.

Actually, odds are that the next Iowa football coach will have about 20 years of success. We dont go through football coaches like ISU, Illinois, Minnesota and Rutgers.
