***Big 10 Thread***

You're all going to have such a tasty **** sandwich to eat when Iowa goes 9-1 on the back end of the B1G schedule, makes a run in the conference tourney and backdoors into the dance.

Would that be enough to get them in?

This guy watches Iowa basketball and agrees:

Based on how competitive they've been I could totally see this happening. They're this close.

I was wondering why the price of eggplants is so high. I summoned the produce manager at HyFive last week, threw a Frantrum over the issue, and still ended up leaving without a good explanation.

One last thing, is it a **** sandwich or a **** sandwich?

Part of it is that it's a rivalry. Also, ISU's "disappointing" season isn't as disappointing if you see the strides our team has made from the beginning of the season. We see development from our players & see player buy-in to their coach (for example, the night and day difference in defensive performance from TCU to TTU). Prohm did not mention "offensive deficiencies" after the TCU game - the focus was on defense.
This.

I was in attendance for the Milwaukee debacle. To see how far this team and these players have come since that day is pretty incredible.

Speaking of back doors...

Fran, how does yours feel after 6 conference games?

And most ISU fans thought ISU would be on the bubble this year. Both teams have failed to live up to expectations, just that Iowa is beyond terrible and ISU is on the NIT bubble.

Couple of things go ISU's way, they're sitting at 4-3 in the conference and right there in tourney talk. Heck, pull off many wins (although not likely) in the next 3 weeks and there's still a chance.

I'll give more hope for ISU to at least be on an upswing as the season goes on more than what I've seen from Iowa to this point.

I still can't get over Dom Uhl at the 2.

2 games from now, Fran's going to announce that JorBo's going to get some spot minutes at center, Garza is going to wear two right shoes and a cowboy hat, Baer's going to play an entire half in a mime outfit, and they're going to let a goat with "really gnarly horns" make the substitution calls.
Who needs Cirque du Soleil when you've got Iowa basketball?

Unless there are more comments different from what I have read, Fran didnt exactly say that:

Q: You played Dom Uhl quite a bit more on Saturday as well as Brady Ellingson. What sort of contributions do you expect from them moving forward?

McCAFFERY: It is really important because we don’t have a lot of depth in the backcourt, so we need Brady to play well. We played Dom essentially at the two spot and that’s a tremendous value because during the course of his career we have played him at the three, four, and five. He is versatile enough to do that and he also knows the plays well enough to play them. He is a smart player and that gives us more depth moving forward from a guy who knows how to move the ball and defend perimeter guys.

Fixed to accurately reflect posture.
