Hey, it's K-State ...

Can't speak for Curt, but if you look at my earlier post in this thread, my reasoning is this: Cannot forgive that effin' fiasco in Manhattan during FB & rooting against KSU is not so much "cheering on" KU, but wanting KSU to eat **** & experience Karma - loved that Brown lost his mind during that last possession. I want KU dethroned, but I'll be rooting for other Big XII teams to take 'em down instead (WVU, Tech, OU and TCU should be able to get the job done). Although, that said, I absolutely HATE Huggins' brand of basketball - anytime he loses, that is a great thing.
While the KSU game has me pissed! Don’t ever forget the KU screw job in Hilton in 2013! Kevin Young gets a foul when it clearly should have been Jeff Withey and not to mention the lose ball foul on Niang that was a clear charge. Then Elijah Johnson taunting our fans. Never forget that!

Weber never disappoints.

Frascilla's whining about everything going against KU opponents is now officially so well known that even coaches are now referring to it in their post-game meltdowns. Fran sells his shtick to those watching KU games to cheer against KU and to fan the flame of attention he gets when he goes to other sites to call games. But to see Weber refer to it in his rant was hilarious. This year, when Kansas has attempted 60 less free throws than any other team in the Big 12 and less than 6 Big 12 teams have MADE, it's because of diminished talent comparatively and their playing style of shooting more outside jumpers. But when Kansas has more talent and plays their typical 2 big lineup that crashes the post and drives to the rim to draw more fouls, they shoot more free throws because of referee favoritism. Hilarious.

I hope KSU never fires Weber. That last offensive possession for KSU was Weber's career in a nutshell.

Typical KU response. I see Fran get attacked by KU fans on twitter anytime he calls it like it sees it and it can be viewed as not being pro-KU. The fact that you think that statements like “I thought the game was called fairly,” he said. “I really do.” are anti-KU falls right in line with the fragile KU mentality that if someone isn't singing the praises of KU or defending them from legitimate complaints, then they are anti-KU. Fran says a lot of good things about KU, but a lot of KU fans go right past them, focus on the balancing negative things and call Fran anti-KU.

My comments were not about his "I thought the game was called fairly" statement that was included only to laugh at Weber for being completely off base.

My comments about Fran were about Fran's statements in the past that led Weber to make his "Go ask Fran" statement. You failed pretty hard at reading comprehension.

No, I really didn't, you failed at "post a link that actually supports your point".

Another way to view Weber's comment, in a way that doesn't scream KU persecution complex, is that Fran has a reputation of being impartial so Weber is calling on an impartial opinion to show that his point is valid and not just biased rantings of the coach who lost. Your link actually supports that point of view better than the "Fran hates KU" narrative that you are trying to peddle here.

Everyone in the Big 12 not named Kansas loves Fran because he goes out of his way to suck up to them in his game calls of Kansas and in his social media platforms. This isn't complicated to understand or recognize. It is simply math. Fran knows there are more people tuning in to watch KU lose than to watch KU win, so he plays up the "KU gets all the calls, you have to beat them by 10 to beat them by 1" shtick because it gets him love from non-KU fans. And it's become enough of a shtick that even opposing coaches are referencing it now.

Obviously you think he is impartial; you like what he's selling. He's been kissing up to ISU fans for a few years now. His twitter feed is littered with pictures of ISU fans posing for pictures with him, kissing his butt about how great it is to meet him. He rolls into Ames and people treat him like a rock star everywhere he goes. He eats that stuff up. You're his audience. Impartial? Laughable. He's a little Italian dude from Brooklyn who loves an adoring audience and who identified how to get one. Good on him.

Aren't you a fragile little snowflake.

Color me shocked. Typical Jay hawk, can’t handle the truth.

Man, you are butthurt.

My favorite was when Fran got ripped by KU fans for his "Oh no...oh yes!" call on Deonte's step up 3 in the game last year. He wasn't calling it from an anti-KU standpoint, he sounded like a fan of college basketball watching the game.

And yes, that's pretty much verbatim what I yelled during that play.

2 things:

Fran said during broadcast that game was very well officiated so don’t drag him into it

I’m as big a Sam Mellinger fan as anyone but he is a bona fide KU homer

How many steps did Svi take in the time it took you to write that up?

It's a conversation, that's all. No one is butt hurt. No one is a snowflake. Can elementary school name calling come to an end now so the grownups can talk? Good grief.

As fans, we all see things through the lenses of our own fandom. My bias colors what I hear the same as yours. Obviously Fran says plenty of nice things about Kansas into his coverage of Kansas but he throws enough red meat out there to the anti-KU crowd that even KSU coach Weber has noticed and drug Fran into it in his post game presser. And I just found it funny that Weber, made an attempt to drag Fran into his whine and had it blow up in his face when Fran disagreed with him.

Sorry that I mentioned your beloved Fran. I hope he retweets one of your fan pix with him. Buy him a doughnut when he comes to town and he'll sing even louder for ISU in his next ISU game.
