Auburn lost four games to Alabama's one.
2001 is another very close year. Iowa finished 8-5 with the 40th ranked schedule and ISU finished 7-6 with the 49th ranked schedule. ISU won head to head. Almost a coin flip really.
I would add that some incorrectly use this to conclude that if team A beats team B in September, then you can automatically conclude that team A would beat team B in December or January.
Case in point:
That 2001 game was postponed due to 9-11. Had that game been played in September I believe Iowa would have one easily. Likewise, for this season; I personally *think* if ISU and Iowa played again tomorrow, ISU would have the edge, due to scheme changes and team growth. You and others are free to disagree...
According to Sagarin.
I think it would be another very close game just like the first one. ISU went 2-3 since November while Iowa went 3-2.
Ahem, 3-2 vs 3-2... lol
I do think it would be close, with half the total points of round 1.
I prefer the metric you have been using for so long you named your first born after it. Maybe if ISU played a big boy schedule they could have been ranked a little higher in Sagarin.
So half of the XII and a little over 1/3 for the big ten.Five each for Big 12 and Big 10!!

Whispers to myself...Iowa beat one Big Ten team that was bowl eligible...
True, and as you can tell I am still salty after a certain waived off PI call. Was just pointing out that neither team was really on a roll to end the season.

I'm asking according to you and your opinion. Yes or no?
I mean to be fair, they were favored in all but 1 game. So they did exactly what they should have done...The B1G proved during bowl season it was a really tough conference.

No idea.
Please link this at the end of next season and proclaim it as proof that ISU is good just like you did with an article dated May of 2017 earlier today to vouch for how difficult ISU's schedule was this year.
