UNI's resume wasn't that good going in to their game vs ISU. The media propped that team up.
They played tough starting the season but lack of talent catches up, even in the MVC.

I don't mind if all the Iowa teams do well, as long as Iowa State is consistently superior to the others long-term.
Here's a wacky snapshot for ya, among the "Big 4":
Iowa State: 9-4 overall, 0-2 in Big 12, tied for last.
Iowa: 9-8 overall, 0-4 in Big Ten, tied for last.
UNI: 8-7 overall, 0-3 in MVC, tied for last.
Drake (remember Drake?!): 9-7 overall, 3-0 in MVC, tied for first.
If Fran goes, Connor probably does, too. I think we still have 3 more years of Fran.
Jayhawk tears are mighty tasty too...Hawkeye fans are bringing back the "Let's get mad again!!" campaign. Living in CR most Hawk fans I know are extremely disappointed. Ahhh, no drink is as sweet as Hawkeye tears.
I realize we are having a down year but if my program has a coach in his 8th year and as many supposedly talented players as Fran has I'd be mad too.

Holy **** I knew they didn't have much fan support but this is unreal.
Let's pump the brakes on talking about winning remaining games. We won't be favored to win a game for the rest of the year...If Iowa doesn't win at Rutgers, could go winless until season finale vs. Northwestern. I suppose Fran will squeeze a couple mild upsets along the way (something like home games vs IU or Minnesota).
If you only had a D1 offer from a couple schools and one was in state...you would go there as wellI'm baffled that any kid from the state of Iowa would want to play for that program or coach.

It's what the crowd was shouting that is important here....Mark Emmert was on KXNO this morning and said that this crowd was slightly larger and more vocal than the crowd that they had for Michigan on Tuesday.
ESPN has the reported attendance as 10,933
El Oh El
the fact fran plays this up tempo style with unathletic players will never stop being funny.
i wonder if since fran himself was a tall, lanky player if he just ends up recruiting kids like himself.
No. It's usually slices of free pizza divided by 8.So, they took butts in the seats and doubled it.
That's the usual formula.
