Carver packed them in tonight

UNI's resume wasn't that good going in to their game vs ISU. The media propped that team up.

They played tough starting the season but lack of talent catches up, even in the MVC.

I don't mind if all the Iowa teams do well, as long as Iowa State is consistently superior to the others long-term.

Here's a wacky snapshot for ya, among the "Big 4":
Iowa State: 9-4 overall, 0-2 in Big 12, tied for last.
Iowa: 9-8 overall, 0-4 in Big Ten, tied for last.
UNI: 8-7 overall, 0-3 in MVC, tied for last.
Drake (remember Drake?!): 9-7 overall, 3-0 in MVC, tied for first.

It seems unusually weird for ISU / UNI / TOE to all be struggling at the same time; basketball in the state of IA can't wait for the '17-'18 season to end. just a weird time

Hawkeye fans are bringing back the "Let's get mad again!!" campaign. Living in CR most Hawk fans I know are extremely disappointed. Ahhh, no drink is as sweet as Hawkeye tears.

I realize we are having a down year but if my program has a coach in his 8th year and as many supposedly talented players as Fran has I'd be mad too.

Jayhawk tears are mighty tasty too...

They feed each other on that stuff and Fran leads them there.

If Iowa doesn't win at Rutgers, could go winless until season finale vs. Northwestern. I suppose Fran will squeeze a couple mild upsets along the way (something like home games vs IU or Minnesota).
Let's pump the brakes on talking about winning remaining games. We won't be favored to win a game for the rest of the year...

I'm baffled that any kid from the state of Iowa would want to play for that program or coach.
If you only had a D1 offer from a couple schools and one was in state...you would go there as well:D

Patrick starts next year so really 4 more years?

the fact fran plays this up tempo style with unathletic players will never stop being funny.

i wonder if since fran himself was a tall, lanky player if he just ends up recruiting kids like himself.

He's always opting for the easy way out in recruiting, that's for sure.
