Iowa Football Recruiting

1. Clock Management, has been better though
2. WR recruiting
3. Play calling philosophy is the big one. Needs to let new wrinkles be put in more. Example Brian play calling against OSU. vs. Brian play calling Minnesota. Now some blame is on Brian, but it comes from the top with how often it is and has been displayed over the years.

Are you saying Brian doesn't call the plays?

22 is a good class size.
It's not big by any means.

I don't ever see ISU being able to recruit top 40 classes. I am fine with that, if ISU continues to see good production on the field from CMC recruiting classes.

There are several teams that only have 10 or so commits right now that I imagine will leap frog into the top 30 or 35.

Not big, but certainly not small. Pretty close to an average class size unless you are Ole Miss or something.

Pretty good and looks like a nice prospect. Have to figure that Herm Edwards won't be able to close this kid. What a terrible hire for ASU.

CMC is doing wonders on the OL and DL. Pulling in some high level West Coast talent in the last two classes

55.

Only expected to sign 22 or so in the class. Probably won't finish much higher than 55
That's actually a pretty average number of kids in a class. We've had higher numbers the last couple years due to the natural attrition new coach. Our average will be brought down a little due to the kicker and punter, but not really because of overall numbers. Sitting currently at 18, so you are correct that we won't have a lot more commits.

Iowa can go get 4-5 star recruits but will continue to be average in a big 10 west that is a cupcake division. With Nebraska Hiring Frost, Iowa will even suck more because the days of pissing on Nebraska are almost over.
Same thing was said when Riley got his recruits and when Minnesota got the boat rower.
