Iowa Football Recruiting

I don't remember ISU having a committed recruit visit, come off his visit and say he's sticking with the original school and then lying and flipping 3 days later. CMC goes after high character kids though so that's probably why
Our program likes to recruit "the right way".

His "thought ISU would be doing better" post wasn't in response to what he quoted.

ISU's recruiting ranking isn't surprising. You have two kickers, and an OL that is lowly rated because he missed an entire season and opportunity to get re-evaluated by the 247 staff.[/QUOTE]
Nice excuses

Translation: Campbell can't get recruits to flip and that's why our recruiting currently sucks.

Oh yeah, it's not lying...it's changing his mind. Happens all the time in recruiting.

Iowa also the overwhelming favorite for another 4* d-back out of the St. Louis area.
Different directions, indeed.

haha. A 17 or 18 year old kid never changed their mind before. And high character crap after who he started at QB this year? C'mon even some of the players called that QB out lately.

Will regress under kf
This raises a question with me, actually. Iowa fans, where does Kirk not excel in coaching?

Obvious example, Rhoads couldn't develop a QB to save his life. Don't have an example for Campbell, he hasn't been around long enough yet.

Iowa is currently ranked 36th in 247 and 37th in Rivals. With 2 4* recruits and a high 3* Juco LB still looking. Probably lose that 2-3* LB from Michigan to the Wolverines though.

What is ISU ranked currently?

55.

Only expected to sign 22 or so in the class. Probably won't finish much higher than 55

1. Clock Management, has been better though
2. WR recruiting
3. Play calling philosophy is the big one. Needs to let new wrinkles be put in more. Example Brian play calling against OSU. vs. Brian play calling Minnesota. Now some blame is on Brian, but it comes from the top with how often it is and has been displayed over the years.
