2017 Iowa Hawkeye Football Team

Couldn't agree more. I actually like Kirk and it bothers me that hawk fans are such whiners about him. It's not his fault u of I offered him so much money, doubt any of them would turn down a raise. At the end of the day he's a decent coach and they should be thankful. Granted it doesn't hurt that big 10 west schedule is complete joke, would be hard to not be successful.

Iowa played the #6 SOS in the country.

Kirk actually has a very impressive record at Iowa, he has kept Iowa football relevant for two decades and stuck around, even though he he had other offers. If Iowa had gone with bob stoops instead of kirk he would have left for a bigger program.

When you play in the Tiny 10 West, you can pad your win total and look a lot better than you really are. That's Iowa in a nutshell.

Wasn't that bowlsby as AD though? Big XII is stuck with that donut dunker now unfortunately. Barta has no balls. Until JP does something, Barta just sits and waits to copy him, unless his boss, the captain, tells him no.

I think keeping the big ten name was good. Just be honest that you have maybe 10 decent teams at anytime. Wonder which four they admit are crap.

they do, that's why they still went 7-5 losing both starting tackles. Against the 6th toughest schedule in the country. Pretty amazing really....

Man how far your athletic department has fallen. In football 7-5 is a good season even though you pay your coach so much and he's been there so long. In basketball you just want to be competitive and beat Iowa State and hit the NIT bubble and wrestling is sliding too.

7-5 in a rebuilding year is awesome actually. If we go 7-5 next year I'll be dissatisfied

And 7-5 has your fan base ejaculating all over themselves and gets your coach a huge raise
