2017 Iowa Hawkeye Football Team

Fran is doing his best to follow the Paul Rhoads coaching trajectory so Ferentz must feel the need to mimic Iowa State as well
 
Hok fans are really struggling with this. Some even remember all the crap they gave ISU when they went to the Pinstripe Bowl. But Ferentz needs another victory for his incentive bonus so this will have to do.

Boston college beat Florida state, Virginia and Louisville this year. I think Iowa will be uninterested and lose this one.
 
Kirk has had a consistently average winning season at Iowa, sprinkled in with double win seasons, championships games and Jan bowl games. I know lot of the Qwak fan base likes to hate on him for not being Alabama. But without Kirk they would be illinois or Minnesota.

They do? That’s a surprise. Don’t feel sorry for them or their bowl situation compared to ours this year, that’s for sure.
 
Results on par with Iowa State’s 2017 season, which just so happened to be the most successful season Iowa State has had in a long, long time. No doubt Iowa’s mediocre season was disappointing- no argument there.

That is what I say, too, Iowa is on the way down and we are rising and those trajectories may continue after that intersection.
 
Pretty much a season to be expected. New unproven QB, new unproven WRs, new unproven TEs, new unproven CBs, new unproven safeties, new unproven OC, plus had to start two freshmen at both tackles. All of that, plus the 6th toughest SOS in the country, and go 7-5? This was a rebuild year. I'll take it. And I like the Pinstripe draw. We do the Outback-type bowl vs. LSU/Florida every year. Fun to mix it up. Good luck against Memphis.

That many recruiting holes in the coach's 18th year? Oof.
