Back in the 80's we had hillsides seats for one of the drubbings by Chuck Long and company. It was a wet day and ISU sacked Chuck Long on maybe the first play from scrimmage. My boss jumped up with an emphatic "yes", slipped and did 2 or 3 somersaults down the hill. Needless to say that was the highlight of the game.

Are you the AD, or are you speaking uniformed as to what the message the department has asked Sage to send about a topic that’s already been made public

Sure, assume an intelligent insider like Sage hasn’t thought or discussed such message delivery with JP. I’ll assume otherwise.

hmmm ... Biker from Omaha. Yes, that was me. One of my prouder moments and also solidified the idea that I should give up drinkng.

Well you said program. Im just going off of what you said. Sage gets a paycheck from the Athletic Dept for his work with Cyclone.tv. He may not be in leadership (which I think is your point) but he is not outside of the Athletic Dept and for dang sure is not outside of the program.

what point are you trying to make? This has nothing to do with negotiating. Everything he said is something Matt's attorney would already know anyway. Where are you going with this? It has zero impact on negotiating. Sage is a good guy but he is just a dude. If he is a voice to you that is your deal.

I see what you mean.

However if Pollard had a problem with what Sage said, he would have been the first one to come out and disavowed Sage's comments or clarified Sage's comments in some way. Since he has done neither, I can only assume Pollard was okay with what Sage said.

Not sure which part you're confused by. Public perception has a definite impact on any AD's ability to negotiate. That has nothing to do with Matt's attorney. To deny Sage's voice having an impact on public perception isn't accurate at all, is there someone from an ISU perspective with a bigger name and a bigger audience?

Not sure what part is controversial, or "dumb".

I think, when it comes down to it, Pollard is going to pay the man and his staff their money, because they deserve it. And Campbell and his staff are upstanding guys that aren't going to squeeze every last dime. The size of Campbell's buyout isn't something most coaches probably agree to unless they had the integrity to want to be fair to the university. So I think Sage's comments are moot. It's nice to reassure the fans.
 
In what year will we get a 30 for 30 covering the Golden Years of Football U.
 
Haven’t read entire thing but a lot of AD dept show they are spending exactly what they bring in but at ISU believe me this AD is netting millions every year since the lnew big 12 contract was signed years ago. ISU AD borrowed $100 mil in state bonds to pay for the current upgrades at an interest rate of basically zero. They have no interest in paying that back in full anytime soon as they are making bank off those bonds.

Within the next 3-4 years we will have brand new North End sports complex, including all new state of art players lounge, nutrition center, closed in NEZ with suite seating(similar to SEZ), and truly one of the best stadiums in the Midwest and Big 12.

If the NEZ plans don't involve the razing of the airplane hanger, it's a mistake. Do it right, unlike that disaster of a secondary logo they rolled out. Brick, stone, bowled in lower level with offices, suites etc. above.

Completely agree. Make this thing nice, give some better architecture/aesthetics to the stadium, and you are set for many years. The only thing I wish they could do is add a few more rows of field level seats along each sideline to get the fans closer, instead of having the wide, gradual slope of stands.
 
BUMP-- 75 million proposed for new performance center with locker room, academics and dining. Part of a NEZ project? (BTW- a NEZ project does not necessarily equal an increase in capacity)

Thats how much the West zone project cost at Clemson!!!!! Which was the completed endzone and the performance center. Which also included all the stuff the Berg has in it already, like locker rooms, weight and conditioning etc. Woo hoo. please share the proposal!

I am surprised they never built luxury boxes into the "gap" between the lower bowl and the upper deck on the eastern side like they did on the western side.
 
This is Clemson's West zone and includes a performance center and cost $75 mill to build.
