Damn the Torpedoes was one of my first albums. Full Moon Fever really cemented it for me. Loved his Wilbury stuff too. I did like some of the stuff on Mojo too, though the pace seemed different/slower. I need to check some other stuff out and see what I missed.

His music got me through some really dark times and his concerts were some of the best I ever attended. Just saw him at Red Rocks in May and he was so energetic. This is a really sh_tty day.

I saw Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers during their Hard Promises tour. I brought a camera with me and went to the front of the stage during their performance. I started taking photographs and a security guy started to approach me. Tom waved the guy off and allowed me to take some shots. Seeing Petty and Heartbreakers in their prime was one of best concert experiences in my life.
