Remember when Tom Petty helped The Postman escape from Bethlehem's scouts on that cable car? Yeah, me neither. Nobody watched that terrible movie.

But in all seriousness, please don't let Tom Petty be the next great one to die.

I'm one on almost double-digit people whi actually liked that movie.

This flat out sucks!! Loads of great music and with a unique voice. Don McLean couldn't have said it better, "The Day the Music Died!!" This one hurts as I grew up with his music. RIP Tom!!

Wish I had. I don't really hear about most things until shortly before they happen, and that was the case here and already had plans.

What makes it a little worse is that he had stated in a couple different interviews that this most recent tour was "the last big one," so he could spend more time with his granddaughter. I think he just wrapped that tour up a few weeks ago. The universe has a peculiar sense of humor.
