Considering the evidence, to view the "Super Bowl" as a label originated by envious or covetous ISU fans is without question a historical anachronism. For you Hawkeye readers, that means you understand the past with ideas of your own, that you formed in the present, without actually questioning whether they are true or not.

There is no superhuman effort. Sure there are upsets. Sure teams play bad and teams play good but that is not the case in this series and never has been the case in this series

For the ISU slant to the series.....
In years ISU goes to a bowl game they are 6-2 vs Iowa since 2000.
When ISU doesn't go to a bowl they are 2-7.

Bowl bound ISU lost in 2004 & 2009 to good Iowa teams.
Bad ISU won in 2007 & 2014. Iowa finished 6-6, and 6-7 in those years.
