***OFFICIAL IOWA/ISU WEEK THREAD***

Congrats?
What point were you trying to make? You asked if ISU had ever sold out against a conference opponent. A 2-10 team did it just 3 years ago. Iowa couldn't even sell out on Senior day (I bet it wasn't even 75% full) for their undefeated season. I was only there because I was given free tickets. Way to send your seniors off well!

So Blum is making fun of Iowa when ISU hasn't sold more than 55K tickets for an out of state team Since ???

That is one sick burn then. I should start trolling Michigan when they were only selling 100,000 tickets per game instead of 105,000.

How dare you question the loyalty of the Iowa State fans. There isn't a more loyal fan base in college sports than the great fans in Ames. At least when our team is bad, we show up unlike the Tom Leckleighter Hawkeye era. We show up when the teams sometimes have given us little reason to. We support this team whether we win or lose, not just part time. With that being said, you are going to get crushed this week. Better luck next year. Thanks

The entire southeast and southwest grass quadrants were closed and they had to make temporary walk ways each game to the SEZ bleachers. Amazing construction engineering planning considering all the work they did prior to even taking down the bleachers. Just days after the final game of the 2014 season, the bleachers were gone.
I thought those two hillsides were still used? Makes sense if they weren't.

He isn't making fun of Iowa. He's using it as an example of how much " you don't care about this game" and how it's " not your Superbowl".

Dude, you realize it sells out because ISU fans live close and buy tickets for it. Same for selling out Trice for UNI and Iowa.

Iowa averaged 69,000 fans last year, so what if ISU fans come in and buy the last 1500 tickets to sell it out. ISU sells about 52-55k and Iowa and UNI fans buy up the remaining 7-10K tickets.

I asked a question because I didn't know. I said congrats.

Why don't your other "rivalry" games sell out? Those teams are close too

Or your fans mark this game on their calendars just like we do. But continue to deny that all you want. Makes the excuse for losing easier on you.

He's got nothing. I love how he just flat out dropped the attendance argument after showing him facts about ISU's attendance (even in bad seasons) and Iowa's attendance (in the year Iowa went 12-0).

I didn't know what your last sellout was. Now I do.

It's a big game for both schools, I know this. As long as @CyTwins is gonna troll the whole "super bowl" for Iowa, then I feel like I maybe I should point out why it is a big game for ISU.

You couldn't even come close to selling out games that would have won the Big 12 North title.

Is it really an accomplishment to sell tickets when you can get a season ticket for $199 or can buy tickets at a discounted "young adult" price?

Not to mention the free admission to all football games for 18 years of age and younger that are members of the Jr. Cyclone Club.

That was a single game 13 years ago. You guys couldn't sell out a game for an undefeated team.

Ok, I'll bite. Here is where an undergraduate degree would help ya. Why do you think ISU is offering children and young adults discounted admission to games? I'll give you a hint..If you make them fans early, they will donate more money and buy more tickets (at full price) when they get older. Then repeat once they have kids. There is a reason season ticket sales have been getting better every year.
