OK - who wins the game on Sept. 9th ?

So we return Bailey, Johnson, Trent, and Waggoner, all played significant minutes last year. I guess we have experience

But ISU'S DL has been bad for quite a while. Having bad players returning isn't a good thing

Iowa routinely has good DL's.

What about having good players returning? JaQuan Bailey was pretty good as a true freshman and JD Waggoner was coming along nicely until injury.

Vernell Trent hasn't been great but I expect an increase in production. Spencer Benton came on late last year and Jamahl Johnson looks the part.

Our starting QB's offers out of HS:

Alabama
Auburn
Florida State
Georgia
Louisville
Mississippi State
NC State
North Carolina
Notre Dame
Tennessee
Virginia Tech

Iowa's starting QB's offers out of HS:

Iowa
Rutgers

You would think if Park was so awesome he would have at least been able to score some points against Iowa.

Oh well more clone fan delusion.

He would make more money investing in the company that prints all those Beat Iowa shirts.

Iowa has more fans so the Beat State market would be better. Plus they can wear them against Penn State, Michigan State, Ohio State, and it crosses over well to other sports when they're playing in lower level tournaments against Indiana State. But how many times do you get to print "Bringing the Boom" on a shirt? We'll be seeing that fine shirt for decades to come.

42-3 beatdowns of isu are fairly common. If some company wants to sell 18 shirts to annoy clone fans I am all for it.

It's an improvement, wouldn't call them good yet.

The game will come down to how well the ISU front seven can stop Iowa's running game. (I know, brilliant!). Straight from an Iowa lineman, the OL has no confidence in the QB to throw the ball. If ISU can stack the box and force the Iowa QB to beat them by passing, I like the Cyclones chances.
